I have been sworn to secrecy due to the specimen hunt, my mate recons he would have folk following him everywhere if his ID was made public.
Yeah you are right but it was only a small one at 7lb!!

Yes I would indeed mate but I am waiting for you to show me the way next summer.
We have just come back home from a great night at St James, we saw GU10 & the Barley Dogs.
Fantastic talent we have in Guernsey - that cost £20 to see & hear the most accurate harmonies & some amazing banjo, double bass, fiddle & guitar playing + a really good buffet!! (jonny where were you)
Two cracking looking fish there guys!!
I went for a wonder on the low today and found these in the wet sand, any ideas? I envisaged flatfish of some description rooting about then settling? These ones the round "holes" were about 12 inches across but there were single holes without the slides up to 18 inches across. Area of extreme tide flow, sandy patches, pools left on low water but rocks and weed in close vacinity.
Also saw a load of small baitfish in the margins and also a couple of small to mid size bass cruising. Definitely not mullet.
I'm curious. Is there something about the nature of the bass or of the sea that makes this the best time for a bass festival, or is the time more center around the best timing for you fishers/hunters?
