Hi Kerin, nice to get one for free! I think the basic hero is good value, battery time is good and pic quality seems OK but heard black or silver image quality may be slightly better. Overall, I found the basic hero fairly easy to use and have had great fun playing with it. Look forward to seeing u r vids.Nice videos Jersey Mike.
I was wondering how the quality of a basic go pro was as I have just been given one! Looks pretty good. Hopefully get around to making a few videos of my own this year.
Hi guys I'm not on the island right now but I'll be back in the next four months or so, I'm passionate about my spearing but I was wondering if there was anywhere in Guernsey that I could train pool sessions, as in dynamic and static apnea. is there anyone out there who would be interested in a training buddy for those pool sessions?
Cheers guys can't wait to get back and get into some serious training and will be defiantly be looking for dive buddies. Thanks for the quick reply guysHi Jacob
I have spoken to beau sejour about dynamics and they assured me they were ok with it.
Not sure how you would stand with statics though!
Turbot on the offshore banks too, there have been a few flat calm days between the wind!
I did a 2 h paddle on my paddleboard yesterday, starting at perelle and going to leree then around lihou, the viz is slowly returning after 3 calm days with no wind and dropping swell, by early next week should be good.
I agree with Mart on the less tides, and I know this will upset some people but there should be catch limits, on some of the tides people were coming away with 40-110, I know a couple of people who had over a hundred over 2 tides and they don't even eat the F*****g things, and they do this every time it drops below a 1.0m tide.
Jealously will get you nowherePersonally I don't reckon the ormer / abalone is that great eating anyway. Having to beat them to tenderise it gives a clue - a battered flip flop with some fish sauce on it wouldn't be too dissimilar IMO
