Holiday Guernsey 2008

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Just checking work diaries and it seems my holiday this year will have to be 1st - 17th august, the person I work with has booked and paid for his holiday already, which at the mo only leaves me with those dates.:rcard I will try and bring forward a week. If I can't we will be back in the island on the sunday night 17th.

I suppose that the Capts Table is for the 16th?

I will have to work monday onwards sadly. The tides are right for mackerelling off platte fougere on monday at 17:30 if there is to be a last night party I'll gladly do a trip for some fishing and anything else I can.
 
That is a shame Andy:head actually i was hopping to fit in the Herm evening on Friday the 15th. Every body should be here by then & in fact should have a bass under their belt because they would of been for their first dive in the afternoon?
 
Just to remind any one tying to catch up with this thread -
The Guernsey fishin is an open invite to any db member - you dont need to be a top spearo or anything its just for the fun & the infamous db trophy!

& me Podge I am planning the prize giving menu already - might be a bit of lobster involved & maybe some smoked bass possibly some hot marshmellows! Well it went down alright last year.
 
Mart post it up but do it slowly like maybe a line of the menu at a time, so I don’t get to over excited.:p:p:D:D:D:friday

Podge I cant wait to start coking for you guys, however if you have any request - lets talk about it.
I would love to cook something special for all our guest but I am not so good at mass catering - however - I will organise, one way or another, some special food. :)

Mart before I say any more I KNOW this is going to sound like a Mickey take but I assure you its not.
As you’ve kindly offered to do up something a bit special it just so happens that I’ve got a soft spot for a really good Fruit Trifle.
Now I reckon with all that Guernsey Cream you’ve got over there that a true master piece of a Trifle could be made.
I can just imagine it now with cream in the custard and cream on top and I’ll tell you what I’ll bring a spot on bottle or 3 of demon desert wine to go with it.
I’ll just have to make sure that I’ve got extra insulin with me on the night of the grand tasting!
Any thoughts mate?:)
 
Well we can load the insulin syringe onto the end of one of Foxys guns, let you loose at the trifle and take appropriate action! Just like Pulp Fiction! roflrofl

Just as long as it not you that takes the shot, you’ve done enough damage shooting things of late.:friday

Ha, ha. Yes she is fine mate, i'm not allowed near her anymore! She is eating for England at the moment, dinner tonight was large Kebab and Chips and her bodyweight in chocolate, I reckon she could take you in an eating contest....roflrofl She loves her flowers!

Podge, I must say that I was not expecting you to request "trifle" but of course trifle will now be on the menu.
I can make a nice vanilla custard made with Guernsey cream & you can have Guernsey whipped cream on top. I think some marshmallow's might find there way in to the trifle too but we have strawberries & my fig tree should be full of fruit in mid August & there may still be some greengages left on my tree as well.
 
After writing that the other evening I had to go to Tesco on the way home today and bought me one of there ready to eat trifles, nowhere near as good as the real thing but it got me over the cold shakes and wall climbing thing.:)
Looking forward to a Foxy Special though mate.:p:p:p
Although not looking forward to the liposuction when I get home.rofl

In fact this is a good opportunity to get your partners involved & seeing as though Spaniard has lost interest in all other woman they should be safe!? roflrofl
