Holiday Guernsey 2008

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 90 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
It was actually a bit scary because with make up and a wig on he looked very like his teenage daughter!

I should add we raised 500 quid for the Tsunami appeal - we never thought our workmates would come up with it!:head

Badlander just book up the accommodation, fast ferry and cruise on over.
Just make sure you exchange plenty of food and alcohol vouchers,:):):friday:):)
Oh and don’t forget yer Speargun just in case!!rofl

Ok then guys some useful information.
Condor are now taking bookings for next year.
I’ve just confirmed with them for Friday the 15th August from Weymouth sailing at 6.00am to arrive at Guernsey at 8.10am.
Departing Guernsey on Wednesday the 20th at 12.00 noon and arriving Poole at 15.10.
Price for Jim, myself and the motor was £342.00
NOT LONG NOW!!:)

I booked my flight through Flybe for £100 return including all taxes etc., Gatwick to Guernsey. Can't wait to go, last year was incredible; all thanks to the hosts in Guernsey! I will shoot a big bass in 2008 or I won't go home! :)

Spaniard you'd better get accommodation sorted for a good 4 months then!:t

Hate to change the subject a bit but, just got an early green light from the Mrs to attend next years meet up,whats the deal?....is that okay?

If you are flying book as early as possible, flights from Southampton go from £60 return. The same applies with accommodation because August is the tourist season.
Look forward to meeting you :)

Ahhhh... just catching up with all this. Can't see how I missed it but there you go. I live about 5 mins from the Peninsula and it is about a 40min walk from mine to the George (less after midnight). Taxi's are £12 from town to Grand Havre area late at night and about £8 the rest of the time.
Houmet tavern is a pub over the road and in the morning you can walk to 'my backyard' - some excellent areas for bass, bass and more bass. So I'd say the Peninsula was an excellent base for fishing - also I might have finished my DIY by then so should have a bit more time for guiding to likely bass heaven (well, maybe not allthe spots - gotta keep some in reserve :)
Looking forward to it and should be around as my passport has been revoked !
Cheers and happy Christmas - Ed
