Patrick ,the best way to cook wrass is to fry them on a separate pan to a 16oz striploin steak, you then open the bin and throw the wrass in ,and have the striploin medium rare with a pan of shrooms/onions ,simplesWell lads, haven't been on here in awhile i had a profile before called 'galwaynovice' but i changed email provider and could no longer log on, anyways hope everyone is enjoying this weather.
I was out today in connemara and despite some questionable aiming a nice sized gunner/wrasse swam right by my so i had to oblige, always let these guys swim by because i don't like the taste but unfortunately for the fish i thought i'd take a crack at some different cooking technique.
Vis was alright at times and the temperature was grand, stayed in for over an hour in a cheap worn 5mm portwest suit,
Was just home and by the time i washed my gear and myself my father had the fish gutted and in a pot of boiling water.
Anyone know any way of cooking the flesh after it has been boiled to rescue my dinner or even a way to cook them nicely for future reference.
