My DYN training log

5/24/2016

Warmup 400m
6x150 breathing 3/5/7/7/5/3 (900) (25:50)

Total – 1300m

New goal for these will be to do each 150m departing every 4:00 (so total time of 24:00)
 
5/27/2016 (long fins)


Warmup 400m

8x25u/25 on back nonstop (400/200u)
10x25m dyn with 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,3,3 breaths (250u)
10x50u departing every 3:00 (first 5) and every 2:00 (last 5) (500u)

Total – 1550 (950u)

Never done the 50's before on such short time interval. My 50m dyn takes 1:10-1:15 so on the last 5 i was resting 0:45-0:50.

6x100m sprints departing every 4:00 (600) (All between 1:50 and 1:55)

Bad day, barely got to the third set and I was planning to do 6 w/departing every 4:00. Seems like running on ground is counter-productive for me. I will stick to stair master twice a week.
 
bboynkai, hope you are fine. And thank you for posting your workout over and over.
I just recovered after illness. I was out of pool almost 4 weeks.
I started today with:
- 200m surface swimming different styles
- 3 x 200m inhale after each second hand stroke (focuse on techniques and gliding) rest 45 seconds between each atempts
- 2 x 200m: 35m surface + 15m underwater: 1 min rest between atempts
- 100m swimming surface

I didn't wanted to push and it was mainly recovery workout....

I heard that it is not good making cardio between freediving sessions.
May be some one can add something to this..

I think I have to open own thread not to mess up your workout diary.

10x25m dyn with 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,3,3 breaths (250u)
10x50u departing every 3:00 (first 4) departing every 2:00 (last 6) (500)

400m freestyle breathing every 5 strokes

Total – 1950m/950u

My 50u is getting faster. Around 1:00 - 1:05 for most of them. Next week I can more on to more advanced DYN workouts. Also wanted to do stairmaster intervals but my right leg hurts a little.

I heard that it is not good making cardio between freediving sessions.

I think my issue is that trail running is too hard on the body. But stair master for 20 minutes works great for me.

Marginally faster than last time I did this workout. Still working towards 24:00 or better.

10x25 dnf /25f resting 0:30 – 0:60 (500)

Total – 1500m

Planned to do 6x100m sprints after the hypoxic pyramid, but my shoulder wasn't feeling good enough. Also my DNF is really bad - takes push-off + 9 strokes to cover 25m, but I only do it for exercise.

2x150 breathing every 5 departing (4:00 each, rest 0:30) (300)

Total – 1300m

First 2 100s were PR times but felt easy. The next 4 were very hard.

Total – 1800m/750u

Overall a bad day, planned to do 4x50u every 3:00 and 8x50u every 2:00. I was tired from the day before and stopped short. I will think about doing something like 10x55u-60u every 3:00 next time.
