Thanks for lovely replies. Went out monday to the new spot and it was ace. In for about 3hours just floating about in the weed. Vis was 3-4 meters. Mullet and bass are around and bass looked to be 3-4 pounds but probably less as I still over estimate everything. Shot a mullet but gut shot and it pulled off spear (gutted). Bass just loitering in weed and it was really tempting. Let me know were you get a gun like that Dunc as mine shoots low at the moment . P.S. Still a kook but having fun.

Sarah (my partner) works a few hours a day in a little beach café on Pembroke bay, anyway I went down to see her at lunch time only to see a spearo coming out the water.
He had a 2lb sole, a spider crab & a smallish plaice, funny thing was he was on holiday from Wales!

Good job with the video Joe! You have to be persistent with it it though! I found it unbelievably frustrating at first as I always seemed to have it off when any action occurred!

daffyd, I love the irony that you have failed to see the irony of your statement about irony. That's beautiful and made me smile.
Seems to me people should spend more time spearfishing.
