North Wales, The Llyn & Anglesey 2013.

It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I managed to get in on the south Llyn for half an hour or so on Sunday. After the first drop in to less than a meter vis I ditched the gun and went for the scallops, I manages 18 in the half hour, so not too bad. Water was a warm feeling 10degrees

I have tried quite a few different gloves and these are the best I have found . Despite being only 2mm they are really warm as they don't let any water in , have the cuff under my suit and because its smoothskin on latex it provides a very good seal, and as they don't have any external seams they don't let any water in that way either .They are also pretty durable with the latex coating , and because of the thin neoprene you keep good dexterity. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIQUID-GL...tersportsClothing_CA&var=&hash=item3f20597807
just got home gloves fit like a second skin very sexy!just need to try them out now.think Xmas things are Getting in the way tho!

Yes they are awesome , i didn't get any coldness in my hands after an hour in 9 deg . A dry 2mm glove is considerably warmer than a 5mm one full of water sloshing about , i went for mediums so they are extra tight.

Those look awesome! Added to Christmas list! I'd cover the finger tips with some Black Which - it won't look pretty but it'll toughen them up!

Well I had promised myself that I would go and get some of those scallops at the weekend but the surf was good on the east coast so I did that instead. Waiting on the delivery of a new suit and I signed up for the freediving course this weekend (pool day); I will let you all know how it goes.

I hit the Menai on Saturday, a complete waste of time with vis at around 0.5 metre and almost complete darkness in 6 metres of water, so headed off to the south Llyn for some surprisingly good vis of 2-3 meters and a decent haul of scallops. No fish seen, I think that's probably it for the season, unless I manage to get through my scallop stash. Water temp was 10 at the surface, dropping to 9 at 5-6 meters.

Shame about the strights/Menai thought it would have been ok was that on low slack water ?good about the south coast and getting some scallopes. I can't get in for a couple of weeks now .working away again in Darlington.joy.

Think I will go Thursday to try and get some scallops before this big weather system moves in

The new suit arrived today made to measure and delivered in less than two weeks. Suit looks great and fits like a glove. I can't wait to try it I'm the water! It seems the boys down Devon are still hitting the bass, there's hope yet....

Well I did the Aida ** on saturday. It was very interesting and enjoyable. already put 30 sec on my static PB through the techniques taught to us. I would definitely recommend anybody who is interested to book on.
