I got a midland XTC-280. I got some footage yesterday but not so great, millions of mullets and very few bass around and when I finally found a big one the battery run out!:head I am fishing all the depths between 0-15mt.

Thank you Matt ,Denian . I went in, couple of hours before high on Friday,windy , patchy, milky visibility 1-2,5mt .I was waiting for the fish near the huge bolder .First came 2 mullets and I was about to shot one of them as I do like mullets and I did not see much fish in 1.5 hours that I've spent in the water but then Bass about 2kg swam above them,but he was swimming too fast and then again four or five good size mullets and I was choosing one of them when at a miter distance after them this huge bass came, when I turned my gun on him he reversed 180 and I've managed to hit him trough the aye. After catching his gills I swam strait to the shore and only there I killed the fish and put it on a stringer
I must say Dario does look a bit psycho like 'Jack Nickleson' i think from the shining Wendy im home!LOL .Then again if i had fish like that hanging from my stringer id have a crazy grin!....Am i talking to my self again ...do any of you know what im going on about?....oh well..

Why are you ditching the closed muzzle mate? If you haven't tried it, it's really very good - I've used RA guns with both open and closed muzzles, they're both fantastic but I prefer the closed, for ease of loading if nothing else.
I saw that you didn't really want to post the RA 70 spear - if you can't find anyone local to buy it - give me shout

Just prefer the spear to be locked down tight and neat not clanging around a muzzle , also feel I am more accurate with a clean line of sight down the spear . I cant actually sell it now though! got my new carbon 90 delivered and the spear is bent to hell and it cracked the muzzle I was going to sell in the process.

That's fair enough mate, once loaded though, the spear is firmly locked place, it doesn't move at all. I'll agree that the line of sight is nicer with the open muzzle - I was using Daffyd's 90 open all last season, I think I missed maybe two shots, it's an epic weapon!
Your new 90, it wasn't the one on eBay last week was it?
Damn! I was going to bid on that but forgot about the auction ending - it sold for cheap so I was pissed - I don't feel so bad now! What are you going to do with it?
If the spear was in mech (which I'd guess it was), be very careful that there is no internal damage - I wouldn't trust it at all personally.
The force taken to smash the muzzle must have been incredible, those things are stupidly tough.
Yeah looks like the posty had been shutting it in his sliding door! I did think about the mech but it seems ok , reckon most of the pressure was on the muzzle as that was the fulcrum and it bent from there. Im in negotiations with the guy now, who seems quite understanding. With any luck il get most of what I paid for it back through the insurance from the courier. So could work out well .Possibly!
Went very early this morning to fish high tide up. over 20 knots of wind from ssw . All three spots I tried were unfishable on the north and south less than half a metre vis. I saw the forecast but thought I may be able to find some shelter and patchy vis but it just wasn't so. Was planning to go again tomorrow but I doubt it will have cleared by then :waterwork
