Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Yes, you can unscrew the very front with you fingers. Or just spray a little bit of WD-40 in through the front.

nice !! thanks ! I'll try to hold the second phase with a key for safety !!
It shouldn't be necessary and actually, Salvimar designed the muzzle in such a way that to place a wrench on the rear part you would need to unscrew the front with your fingers first;-)

can I safely unscrew the tip of the muzzle without worrying that the second phase is unscrewed and the air explodes ?? I'm going to try it because I've dived ten times with the gun and I want to see the condition of the gasket !! thanks again

hello diving Gecko !! yesterday I unscrewed for the first time the tip of the muzzle of my salvador vuoto.
everything was correct with the gasket and there was still white factory grease in the metal threads.
I cleaned and put some white nautical grease in the metal threads and replaced the gasket.
I closed it again without forcing.
I could not unscrew again !!!!!! .. unbelievable.
I almost fumbled my hand trying.
Do you have any idea what happened? and what to do?

salvimar predathor vuoto .

Not really. If you didn't cross thread it, which I think you would have noticed I can only assume that you tightened it too much;-). Or maybe a little bit of debris got stuck in the threads but again, if you cleaned them that shouldn't be the case.

I'd wrap some leather, cardboard or something else to protect the muzzle around it and try with a wrench. Don't go too crazy. If it is still stuck, you can try some "temperature therapy". E.g. pour boiling water of the tip or immersed in a glass of water with ice cubes.

BTW, why did you change the gasket out? No need for it really unless it is torn or looks close to tearing.

sorry bad english
thanks !!

You propably caught the gasket with the muzzle while screwing. Now it is propably ruined. You should take the gun to a specialist, so they can show you how to handle such things.

i have others gaskets . will I can try unscrewing in a vise ??

thank you so much !!!!! I'll try and I'll talk again !!!

Ah, actually the front part of the muzzle does press down on the gasket so there could be some added friction from that. But this is not rocket science, do as I said above - but stop unscrewing if the bottom part of the muzzle starts turning. As long as it's only the front you are totally safe. And next time, only screw the front part in finger snug. No need for it to be overly tight.
