I was in today ( S. Hams ) vis is still good 5-6 metres a few bass about , I have managed to catch a few recently !! Thinking back over this month ( June ) the weather and vis have been great and have enjoyed being in, but the fish have been very few and far between .. If it was not for some good crabs and lobsters it would have been dreadful !! ( I think the night divers are taking them all !! ha ha ) I have not even seen a Mullet yet ! I do not really want too but it is most unusual ...

Not guilty...Been in Cornwall :)
you're right about the mullet this year, very few about in Cornwall and dorset too

Hi All,

Not posted much as not much to post. Few mullet from Plymouth and some from East Devon. Not seen a bass yet but North1 lost a 6/7lber last time we went out. Cloudy vis and slow up here.

Any viz yet again wiped out by easterly, quite breezy on teignmouth sea front tonight.:cry::cry::cry:

I've just returned from a quick evening dive near Plymouth. Viz was about 10m ish. No silvers seen at all, just a school of small pollock. Even waiting two minutes in the kelp failed to bring anything in. Although, if anyone wants to break the UK wrasse record on a rod, I know just the place. They were massive!
I only took one edible crab for lunch tomorrow, so I'm not going to go hungry.

Dived Torbay this evening. Few decent bass about but very skittish and all at the end of my breath hold. Managed two aprox 3lb as did my buddy and he head shot two mackerel ! Viz about 3m on the bottom but very milky

South Hams dive tonight, 5+ metera vis, few bass about and took 2. First one caught after seeing it from surface and took a punt on diving down onto it to take a shot, paid off with a head shot. Breath holds not so good today but cracking accuracy of shots. Back to painting the house tomorrow.

Got in yesterday evening around 8pm. Saw my first school of Bass this year, but they were undersize. Saw a few other decent sized ones but didn't have the breath hold to get them in range. Viz a tad milky on top 3-4m but a little further out was around 5-6m.

In hindsight I think I should of got in earlier and fished the area I was seeing bass, I tried to comb the beach as the light went but it was a little early for that and too dark for me for a deeper dive.

Still, I felt happy that I'd seen a bunch of Bass.

Back home.
Down through the jungle tonight to find mixed water. Brown and blue. Few fish seen. Stepped out with Rubber Duck, he saw bass further out and I saw mullet tight in. Nothing on for the shot.

More rust off the legs

Ive also just returned and the only word is awful. Anyone heading teignmouth way dont bother. Found stunning viz of a metre to nothing

I went out in boat today from Teignmouth, and dived between there and Torbay vis was pretty poor considering how calm it is and has been for a while , max 3 metres no fish seen and a few brown crabs taken ... checked out quite a few spots and found scallops ( out of season ) will have to re visit there later in the year ...., not a bad day out ....,but Torbay rarely fails to disappoint !!

Gave Torquay a bash this evening, variable vis, pretty good in the shallows amongst the weed but very milky further out. 30 seconds after loading my gun I saw and shot a mullet. 2.4kg. Was pretty chuffed and thought it was a sign that it was going to be a very fruitful dive. What happened for the rest of the dive was......fuck all. Still, good to have
