Sorry, but it's a female he has there. I dive with two marine biology graduates, and we catch enough bugs to tell the difference.
The female tail flares in the middle to accommodate the eggs. Check the pic below of a male lobbo. The tail tapers from thick to thin from the back of the carapace, and the claws are proportionally much bigger.
Its no big deal, but with everything being overfished, I just like to see female lobsters and crabs (no matter how big and tasty they may be) returned to breed for another year. Taking a big male is better as it encourages more smaller lobsters to move into the territory.
