mostly around the 3 rocks but I went around the back of the point once during stormy weather and they were all schooling around the sandy bay area there in the shelter. They seem to like being close to shore at high tide and around the furthest rock at low tide. Found them several times between 3-8m depth but as I said, they're really tough to land in comparison with other spots. Are you around here at the moment or do you only come over on a visit/holiday?

I know what you mean about the same location, but its a little bit difficult for me to get to different spots that's why i mostly dive oddicombe and meadfoot as its very close to me.

C'mon Scottie 2-3 weeks to clear up the water?Hope you wrong I dont want to stay home cooking meat,I'd like a nice fish in my pan
you should try wood pigeon fryed in a pan with a little butter ill save you some next time i go shooting! but it doesnt beat a nice bit of fish. we'll have some fish soon my friend even if i have to buy it rofl
spearheads i got my d3 yesturday cant wait to get it wet! i ordered it last wednesday from Apnea. it came monday but i missed the post man so it sat in the post office for a day!
bought some lobster traps on ebay last week and they came today!
HI I am a new user to this forum there is a lot of good posts on here, i would disagree that nobody discloses there secret spots on a forum?? we all talk about the spots we fish in of which there are spots you hope nobody else would go to.Spearomatt is a good target he talks about all the places he fishes at (good on him)
David O'callaghan of the English national team? Is it you or another? Anyway, welcome on this board champion. Pity I don't have good spots to share in England (and no good spots in my country as well: the fish seem to be all gone in supermarkets freezer cells over here...)
Well i tried guess where today,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, oddicombe. The only reason i went was to try out my new elsio, old one was a bit to snug.
I didn't even bother going in, the viz looked like the water in the public toilet.
Meadfoot on the 20th, will the weather improve by then to have some reasonable viz.

YEP thats me this forum has more going on than the BSA one at this time! so who are you we must have met some where in comps let us know, it would be good to talk to a fellow fisher

I really apreciate people like spearheads being open with his information - it really helps people like me who don't have the good fortune to live by the sea.
I am hoping to get out in my little rubber boat this year and explore the stretch of sea between Teignmouth and Torquay so if there is anyone who can get get time off on Mondays and wants to join me once the algae has subsided...

Well i don't keep my spots a secret, one or two more spearos in that are ain't going to wipe out the fish.

Hi Dave, I'll try and explain as best I can
I come from a surfing background where localism can be an issue and quite a few surfers like to keep one or two secret spots to themselves to ensure a quiet wave away from the crowds. These guys are always happy to discuss the surf at the well known hotspots such as Newquay and Croyde knowing that the masses will head to these places while failng to mention that they do most of their surfing elsewhere. I had not thought about it before (especially since the people on this forum seem to be so open) but your post made me wonder whether localism also affected spearos? Judging by the replies so far it doesn't!

HI i too come from a surfing background so i understand where you are comming from .Do you live in Devon i would be happy to help you find some good diving on that bit of the coast as that is where all my fishing is done

The level was pretty high at those times here in Italy, so I could hardly hold a candle to the top guys (those you met in international contests, which is not me). But it's true that a spearo can learn a lot from comp champions, so welcome again mate.
me and toni would be up for that. i also have a little inflatable boat with a 20hp on the back what do you use?
