Dived yesterday with all the usual suspect fishing was a bit slow and the tide a bit strong did manage few good fish 3 mullets 2 bass and my biggest wrass a whooping 3.450kg and yes i do eat wrass not a bad day after all no monster the biggest mullet was 4lb and the bass 3lb

wrasse is very good, Fillet skin, then grill, cook both sides, then add cheese and breadcrimbs and grill till crispy. Yum!
Had a nice dive tonight on the low tide. No bass seen just plenty of dogfish Mullet and big wrasse. Took a good mullet and a nice lobster.

nice one ollie went for a quick dive after work myself had 3 bass should of had another 2 but was looking the wrong way could of had lots of mullet condition were good viz was ok . saw a big bass couldn,t get the shoot happy hunting mate
The beer are on me :friday:friday:friday I no i said on sunday they was a other gun to be find i did not expected that one to be find that as be i the water 2 1/2 month at least. what is the condition of the gun?

Managed to get a dive in after work last night, to be honest by the time I got down to the beach I only had about a hour of workable light left! :head
So got in anyway, after 30 mins or so was starting to think it had been a complete waste of time but as I swam around the corner of a huge boulder I stumbled apon a good sized lobster, just out in the open , counldnt believe my luck!
it weighed 5.11 lbs.

Crazywind, interesting vids. Everyone admires the act of spearing those big fish but some people are not in total agreement with it. It's a bit like the old too small and/or too big arguement. I know of a DB member who a couple of years ago speared a 100lb GT while in Indonesia as part of a world spearing tour.
Scott, that's a lovely lobster. Looks like you are entering it in the FOM and rightly so. Unfortunately the smallest on the Hall of Fame is over 6lb, which I find impressive to say the least.

I am sure those are legal size roflHaving caught a marlin as big on a rod i would not like to be in the water with one of those especially when piss off but the fish in those water are BIG having spearing in west indies for over 4 years most fish we use to spear where double figure and when you got a sting ray with a 2m wingspan on the spear it is a scary ride:blackeye
I don't think i would like to spear a marlin that big any way bye for now
Cheers Dave, yeah theres some good sizes in the hall of fame! I'll still enter in FOM though, if nothing else it adds a bit of variety.
Lots of thing are easier said than done mate like you catching so many fabulous fish. That is not easy!
Rowan.Harvey and I went for an early dive this morning. Got in at about 8am. Viz was OK, just right for hunting, and no wind. Rowan nailed a nice Pollock 20min in, and I got a Bass while waiting at the exit of a gulley. Didn't see much for about an hour, so swam back to the beach checking the sand patches on the way. Half buried in the sand was a cracking sole. I hand speared him, and as usual, it went bonkers. Bass weighed in at 2.5lb, and Sole to 3lb 5oz. It was a great dive, and the water is still quite warm. Lots of Bass stilll about, which is good to see.
