The fish caught at the LIC pairs comp (Portland) this year were donated to charity, through the local Baptist church it went to one of the largest old peoples home in Weymouth - I know I organised it!
It was great PR for the sport and a local freelance reporter was very impressed with the event. This will also be reported on in the BSA Autum mag.
Hi all i have notice a LOT OFF BITCHING on the forum regarding few post and sarcastic comment is this supposed to be a friendly forum where we can talk about experiences and FISH SIZE i can see 2 group the one who shoot legal fish 36 cm + and the one who shoot the most prolific breeders the big bass 5lb + personally i don't care witch group you are part off but for one moment lets think a little bit if you where to ask a farmer who got the biggest bull or a prize wining horse with the biggest ball you've ever seen basically the most prolific breeders is ever own and you ask him can i shoot your bull because is the biggest i have seen guest what is going to said to you F... you C... he might even shoot you.

hi all
i have just purchased a elios mtm suit and am now selling my previous suit as it is a bit big for me it is a cressi camoskin size 4 it has a few marks on as you would expect but is all good for jumping into the blue with have glued atiny rip on the arm etc will sell £100 onoanyone interested??

. Seems like we need a little more tolerance on the British regional forums (3 have got a little unpleasant in the last fortnight to my knowledge). If we don't, soon nobody will dare post anything interesting, no detailed reports, no pics and no movies in the future and we would all be the poorer for it. been in for a dive today vis was very bad managed one bas of 46cm (so legal) lol seemeed very quite spose its the small tides ????
HI all went in at sandybay to day had six bass smallest 40cm so all legal the vis was shit places less than 2mtrs
Looks like we were too late then you and Danny Boy have had all the fish out!! North1 and I dropped in at dead low 8-9pm and saw nothing but clouds of pollack.

Very true Clive. We all were never designed to conform to one mould in life. We do however seem to have quite the little forum troll around....it goes away after one post, don't qualify it, and don't bite....rofl
Just got back from 2 weeks family holiday at Coverack on the Lizard Peninsula. Great place but I was surprised how cold the water was and how few fish there were in some amazing looking places - but I'm not complaining as there were a few for the BBQ and I now have a huge list of places ready for more exploration.
Catching up on posts I was shocked to read of problems at Thurlestone as I love that place. Gerald the car park attendant has never caused me any trouble but maybe that is because I have never walked past him with more than one fish rofl He even gave me free parking one day because it poured with rain shortly after I had bought a ticket the day before.
He is a scuba diver himself but only dives in warm foreign places these days as he finds it too much like hard work squeezing into his drysuit these days.
