Hey Trelawney , nice pictures . Glad you liked Eygypt .
If you really want to see big stuff my advice would be to save up and do one of the live-aboard trips . It's easy to get good prices if you can book far enough in advance or pick up a deal at one of the dive shows .
Be careful what you wish for though , the big Oceanic in my avatar took a fancy to my pink fins and tried to take a bite out of them . On the boat there were lots of jokes about blowing bubbles out of both ends but at the time , not funny .
Any trip with the Brothers or Daedalus included is well worth considering .

12 quid for the pleasure matt. Got stung so many times launching my dory that ive decided to sell it and stick with an inflatable instead. Where do u park in paignton?

Yes that is the part im after!

Scott, i normaly get there very early, boat in water at 6 or 7am you can quess why. I have left my trailer just down on the harbour before but they get bit funny about it. So i park just up around the corner near the entrace to the multi car park, always enough room early in morning to park my car and then i lock my trailer to car and a tow bar lock on trailer.

In middle summer if after 9am you end up having to pay almost 5 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!! to park in car park.

There is no spearfishing, or any type of fishing, allowed in the Sharm El Sheikh area. The whole area is one massive marine reserve. The signs on the beaches tell you what you can't do rather than what you can. Still didn't stop lots of Russians from stomping all over the coral though.

I wore my Omer spearing suit and specialfins while scuba diving, and they attracted quite a bit of attention.

Scraped the ice off the car this morning and took a drive down to a little beach in the hope of a flattie or two :)

By the time I had walked down to the beach I couldnt feel my toes from all the ice, geared up and jumped in the water to find zero viz just the way I like it :)

spent the first half hour swimming around finding little patches of viz scattered around the sand gullies but no fish. found the edge of the reef and slightly better viz so swam along the bottom searching for flatties when I came a cross a nice Thorny lying in the sand :friday which weighed in at 14lb 9oz my new PB so stoked

Didnt see anything else after that and as the tide dropped so did the viz so called it a day.
