Nick great Pollock and Red Mullet what was the final weigh in did it make a record?

Any spearo clips taken of these dives?

Good to see some nice fish being had down Devon way.

Hi all got in today lost a 8lb in my arm :waterwork i don't no what happened i was swiming back to the boat the fish put a massive fight 2m of the boat and manage to free him self from the spear l lsot the fish in that raging tide did see plenty bass but the wind was picking upp and upp so time to go back came home with 4 bass and 1 mullet

Thanks Kev. He was 1.20kgs the record 1.248kgs only about a ounce in it. Next time i hope!!
I did take some clips on Saturday but it was plaice and triggers again. Im saving the plaice clips then when the spearing goes quiet make up a vid of all the plaice clips. I hope to get a few more clips before the seasons over with.

Close but no cigar! I don't doubt that we'll see you nail the record within the next couple of years.

I'll look forward to the Spearo movies in the cold winter months. I've made a new bracket for the RA and will hopefully get filming again soon.

Ahh...Turbot. My arch nemisis. I've found a spot that has had some large scoops in the sand first thing in the morning. I just need to get back there at night, but it is a proper mission getting there.

Plaice and clips sounds like a nice winter dinner Podge. What do you think boy? Tried sending the pic of my bass from my phone to my computer but it is not having it. I am probably doing something basically wrong. Hoping to get in again this week as yet another weekend away is looming.

Prawle Point Gammon Head-Salcombe ,i was looking around this area (from the land) at the weekend ,and it looks a pretty spectacular area, i have been to some spots by kayak, and was wondering if anyone has dived /speared in this area ,and what are the currents like,is it a deep water spot ,and is it a good spot for fish? I have speared at Lannacombe with some success,and like exploring this area ,even though the endless small lanes make it a pain to get too!!

Managed to get off work early yesterday afternoon and headed across the river to a spot I've been meaning to try all year but conditions haven't allowed. Anyway I got there and apart from a bit of swell conditions were perfect - clear but not too clear and plenty of string weed to hide amongst whilst hunting. I've been there in previous years and seen bass every time but yesterday there were only mullet and lots of them. Had a really nice snorkel but missed a monster from point blank and had a couple of 3-4lbers.

Has anyone else been in of late and are the bass still around?

Yes the are still around got 4 on monday and 2 yesterday a 6lb and 4lb ad to work hard for it, the week end is looking a bit windy
