Spearing north wales

Oh, the rubber bands are dual purpose: as well as holding the foam in place they also offer somewhere to store the lens cover whilst you're filming. Don't use any old rubber band though, you need the "special" ones - I can sell you some - £10 for a bag of 5 (inc. postage) ;)

Don't bother with the head strap, i tried that, first of all it rides up over your hood and almost falls off. In fact I made sure I had the strap positioned very low so that my mask strap held it in position and I still found it flopping around on the back of my head. Secondly, when in the water head movements appear very rapid and blurry on the camera, so the movies can end up making you feel a bit nauseous and can render the clips unwatchable.

I'd also say don't hold it like a torch. Unlike a torch, the camera won't indicate to you which direction it's pointing, unless, of course, you look at the camera (kind of defeats the object when fishing) and again, hand movements - crawling over rocks, handling a fish etc will be a blurred mess.

That's my opinion anyway.

Up the side, kind of like the way Bros is positioned. Theres two bolts on the side but when the gun is held straight the holes are at diagonals so just makes the bend a funny angle. If I could figure out how to upload pictures Id show you what I mean.

I made a first attempt at a bracket it has two parts which bolt together through the lanyard hole just behind the trigger housing. It can be easily enough bolted the other way round. I put this side as I tend to lean the gun over to right to load ( I have to get to the first notch by resting butt into my pelvis as I can't reach the bands withy the butt against my chest) but I may Change sides as thinking about it I'm right handed and the camera will be in front of my grid blocking my view when not aiming.
And if it doesn't work out I still have some Alu to try a few more different ideas.
I am concious of the weight pulling to one side though. The leverage shouldn't be so great because its close, I'm hoping the air in the case will add a little bouyency to compensate, else I may need some of this elastic bands ;)

Seeing forecasts of wind:( With the weather as is and as is forecast, looking for the benefit if your experience in the region, is there anywhere (general area speaking) in Llynn or Anglesey likely have reasonable vis? Is it just a case of suck it and see on the sheltered sides? Or are there any stretches usually less effected than others?
I'm pained to waist a long weekend when I could be in the sea but it's a long way travel if it's gonna be a complete write off..

I'm meant to be down from Monday to Thursday... 28mph winds Monday, 25mph winds Tuesday, Weds 22mph, Thurs 20mph... all with a great combination of rain, thunder and lightning!

I'm genuinely not sure its worth going at all. If it wasn't all booked up, I wouldn't even consider going to the coast with conditions like that.

BTW where (besides the local weather reporter Dyl) do you guys check the weather? I find some resources better than others but they all seem hit and miss to me at least.

click the link in my previous post(xc). I've always found it acurate for the wind. i dont really care about the rain/cloud
