The Guernsey spearfishing & social 2016

It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Aah, that explains some things. The forum is detecting and reporting to us that you have multiple accounts, which is against forum rules. It has probably blocked your new accounts for breaking that rule. I gather the rule is enforced at the machine level - so if 2 of you share a PC for example, that might bethe cause -- Paul/Dan, is that what is happening here?
Yes I tried to create a new account for Paul on my computer. Any ideas how he can find out his password for his old account, Le gambler with out being able to access the email address he used to create the account?

Hi Dan,
No, afraid not, that would be insecure - if he doesn't know his password and can't access his email account then he might well be a different person (hacker) as far the system is concerned.

In general, I recommend that folk do not to use the email address(es) provided by their broadband providers (which are used to tie you to them, which is a very bad thing) but instead use something like hotmail/outlook/Google free email accounts and use that forever, for everything of importance. Ignore at your peril!

If Paul can use a different computer (with no existing DeeperBlue logons) to create & access his new account that would likely work. Also, I have asked PapaSmurf if we could make you 2 an exception somehow (it would be a useful feature if available).

Passwords suck but, if you use computers, you really must remember at least some password, the important ones, like email for example. With an aging population and increasing number of accounts they really do need to come up with better alternatives (e.g. biometrics, e.g. thumb/eye scanners).

You could try deleting cookies (from the browser or using free CCLeaner, carefully) - but then you will probably loose some other account names & passwords, so I cannot recommend it in :(

I cut up some mahogany & some iroko into 4mm strips, I already had the wood but its value would be around £60-70 as both woods are pretty difficult to get nowadays. There are some poor man mahogany type wood available but, this stock was left over from a long passed project & has been in storage for 23 years or so.
The iroko is a type of teak. I got that from some salvaged outdoor cladding (well known hotel).

Anyway glued up one blank with blue epoxy and the other with green :)

Any plans then Mart? Length, handle set-up etc... Or is it just a case of decide as you go.

I am not sure mate, it depends on what hardware I can get.
I have had problems getting spears sent over and finding trigger units at a reasonable price can be difficult.

So here is the present situation, we have 12 members wanting to participate plus another 7 not competing but partying. (ie wife's & friends)
Obviously that is well down on previous years (I think in 2013 we had around 42 at the last night party)
I have sent out a few messages to those who I think might be interested but, not many seem to be active on the forum at the moment!
However I think in the next few weeks, folk will start posting, so hopefully we will get a few more.

Still waiting for the trigger unit to arrive, I ordered a reverse mech from Israel (£70) looks great on paper!

We went to the Copenhagen Bar & Grill today (the latest revamped restaurant) It is situated in town, fantastic views over the sea, outside dinning & superb food!!
They can offer us a £26.50 three course menu that will include - steak, bass & scallops. (no supplements)
I should have the menu tomorrow.

Copenhagen is very good, know the manager there pretty well as his Mrs is one of my Mrs's best mates, the revamp was well worth their effort, place is now packed and profits way up, might be more than some want to pay but the views and food would be well worth it. If we end up going there can put a word in to ensure were well looked after....but we would be anyway
