Tuna time is ny!!!!!!!

It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
About bluefin prices I had a conversation a couple of summers ago with a greek fisherman in Rhodes while on vacation. This guy lived almost exclusively on profits from swordfish and tuna. The latter which he exported to Japan. He told me that the price classification is analogous to the layers and colors of the meat. The outer layer is white and has the less value. As the meat gets closer to the spine of the fish it turns progressively pinker while just around the spine it is completely red and the most expensive. He claimed that this red extra oily meat could yield £120/kg in Japan.

Is that you in that picture Murat? So now we know what you look like.

Pab, nice water but the trek down there looks like it sucks. Makes me feel like a wimp when I can hop off a cliff and in 5 minutes be on the Ono lane.

Wimp... maybe that suits you better W3ac!

Out of this bay, and when the tidal currents slow down, you find the must amaizing fishing grounds I've see so far in NZ: anything can come across!

On the horizont you can see Great Barrier: big fish... and a lot of them!
