Hi Guys.
I thought of starting this new thread for all the UK & Ireland spearfishing videos that you guys shoot. Instead of posting them on your area threads posts them here all in one place making them easy to see. I have often missed some vids posted on other area threads,this way i shouldnt miss any.

Fantastic video mate, my brother would of loved watching that.

One thing about OMD was his competitive nature especially when it came to plaice, however you are the most fitting person to take his title of flatfish king:) & your dedication to Dave is the most fitting tribute.

Thanks Martin. It was a change to dive for some thing different. What started off just a trophy hunt opened up a new start for me. I really enjoyed diving for flatties this last season. A few mates that joined me got the bug to. The Lemon Sole was a unexpected catch,one of which Dave would of loved to of read about. Maybe when i get that big Turbot you can call me the flatfish king!!

its interesting that the sea is otherwise relatively fishless in the video?

I'm sure you will get a crown next year... the silver one maybe ;)

I agree that the flattie trophy opened up a whole new aspect of diving for me and i look forward to the challenge this coming year...

Thanks Jonny. I did get the triggers on the same ground along with bass mullet,reds and greys. I seen lots of conger which were in the same holes every time i dived the small reefs. There were also lots of pollock and wrasse around aswell. I know i didnt see much else other than the flatties when i had my head down hunting for them.
September brought winds and big swell so the hunt ended in its prime time. Next year look out!!

Great idea for the thread, may I suggest that everyone's old video's can be posted up here aswell? I'll look for a few from ireland, I'll start by putting up a few from underwaterirelands youtube page!!

Very well done mate, cracking video, best I’ve seen with the flatfish and role on the spring so we can have some more.

I’ve made this thread a sticky so it’ll always be easy to find.
