No typo. CDYN is "Classical DYN" with bifins and flatter kick.
WSF is backed by SSI, though when I talked to one of the owners of SSI, he did not seem to be aware of it, so it may be an independent initiative of the Australian branch.
What I find a bit strange on the website's page "About WSF", is the following sentence:
WSF is “the” World Governing body for Professional Freediving Competitions and Record Sanctioning
WSF did not yet organize their first comptetition and sanctioned no record, but they allegedly already are "the" World Gowerning body for both. That seems a bit strong claim to me.
BTW, this is no big news here on DB - it was alrady reported a few months ago by Nathan Watts here:

It might be an interesting alternative to AIDA and CMAS competitions, but let's wait first whether there will be more than one event at all.
