good job bro (carp slayer) once again LOL i just couldnt stay down long enough for the fish to swim by so i only got one :head

my rough fish total for the year is 84 rofl

ps i will catch back up to ya so better watch out

jbl double banded spear gun, googles, fins but no scuba gear only free diving stuff

You don't need Scuba gear. Spearfishing should be done while Freediving- CAN be done with scuba. But that's like shooting Deer that are in a Fenced Yard. It can be a sensitive subject- i guess.

t two carp on Saturday and three on Sunday- so Scott can add that to my total and tell me how many hundreds he is ahead of me.

I wish he would have had that truck there on Saturday. I know that we could have filled it- carp where everywhere and the vs was good.

In bad vis the sling, without a barb on the end, wasn't as efficient for harvesting carp as my gun would have been, but that just means I have to work a bit harder to keep up insert your favorite Run Forrest Run! quote here. rofl

Vis dropped off quite a bit on Sunday. Water temps went above 70F and the algae blooms started. The vis was still very good at about 25'- over 20' of horizontal vis down there. The only problem with that is the fish are all hanging out at 15'.:head:head:head

I'll have to check out Mendota before i hang it up, around here, for the summer. That lakes is larger, and cleaner, than Monona so she might last another week or two.

Jon

i have a wetsuit that is only 1/2 arm and leg, snorkle, jbl double banded spear gun, googles, fins but no scuba gear only free diving stuff

Do you have goggles, or do you have a mask. If you have a mask, fine, but equilizing, (although possible) with goggles is a pain, and very few people can do it. Just checking. The difference is goggles do not cover your nose, masks do.

No dude, Im not trying to be a stick in the mud, its just that I wanted to make sure you didnt show up to one of our dives, and not be able to do the kind of stuff we do.

Shot 1 carp and a 13" Perch which takes back the lead.

Roughfish Total for 2008= 104

You guys should look at the first page (Prize Post) I put a pic up of the Underwater Camera that is in the mix.

my rough fish total for the year is now 88 as i shot 2 suckers and 3 carp in lake mich yesterday it was a ok day if you like being really cold as the water temp was like 50 but when we got into clear water it was great

That perch is ugly as sin. It looks like one of its parents was a drum. No wonder you're not smiling in the photo.

Yesterday on McDill pond, Winker and I cleaned up a little with 6 suckers! Ethan shot 5 and I shot one.:head I also had one really small B gill...The suckers were just chillin underneath the bridge in the channel, the water wasn't the cleanest we only had like 5' vis.

Sorry we dont have any pictures, didnt have a camera, and we didnt have a stringer:head, so we put them up on the side as we shot them, All in all it was a fun day!

Have fun on the rest of your camping trip guys!

Winks Rough Fish total = 7
Waldos Rough Fish total = 1 :martial

Wow, last time I was there on the bottom vis was closer to 10! Thats a huge dropoff! Oh well its getting to that time of year, although I did think that mcdill would hold its visibility better because it is a river. Good job with the fish. There are two stringers in the float. rofl

Well there was nothing in the float yesterday, they might have been in Kyles car and we just didn't see them when we took everything.

Oh and by the way, Ethan had the float under my tire and I drove away, and luckly only the illeagal flag broke. I don't know if you are getting one from dive point, or if you are going to make one, let me know i'll help you with that.

Good job on that Big Carp! Looks longer than 39.7/8" did you pinch the tail?

Ne fish Good job man i was wandeing if anyone was going to get a bigger one damn game damn game

I think I take the lead for the PERCH category= 15 1/8" (Offical)

Also I shot 3 carp and plus the 2 suckers I shot at WAZEE My total is 109.

ROUGHFISH Total for 2008 = 109

Largest PERCH = 15 1/8"

I have the lead for NOW- I heard Dan had a 15" too- we'll see what it ends up to be.

Nice fish Dan- what is that 6th fish on the stringer?- I can't make it out.

Okay, now I'm in. I'm putting two wraps (and maybe 3 bands) on the ich stik.

Crappie was actually just a bit bigger than 14.5. It was pointed out to me by an onlooker - AFTER I filleted it - that I pushed the head off the front of the tape when I pinched the tail for the photo. Call it 14.25", anyway. I'm pretty sure I can find a larger one yet . This ol' boy was at 32'. So were all of his little 12-13" friends.

And, ahem - is there a pumpkin seed category ? That hog is 10"!

The pumpkinseed would go under 'bluegill' - nice fish! When did you get those?
