Once again can I say a huge thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. It's a very interesting read and is giving invaluable advice to anyone who has or is thinking of buying/swimming with a Lunocet.
I intend to follow Chipswim's advice and wrap tie wraps/zip ties around the spring as soon as I receive mine. Also wondering whether something a little less sturdy than the piece of tyre would help spread the load. Maybe some motorcycle inner tube or a flexible plastic piece added top and bottom under the tie wraps? Any opinions greatly received

Did your spring not come with the metal bushing in the pivot point as shown in Chipswim's photo? Or is that one of Chipswim's many interesting modifications? The amount of wear on the spring is surprising after such a short time, although I'm guessing you're a strong mono fin/fluke swimmer.

Can I ask how long your fin took on it's travels please? From Ted posting/sending you a tracking number to it arriving with you. Just wondering if there's still time to receive one before my hols.
part of what you call wear might be debris from the molding process(those parts around the holes)...?
If you meant the oval shape then yes... I'm surprised too

a piece of inner tube stretched to go around (like a sleeve) the whole thing could work?
I might get my hands on it (be delivered) today :D

It was the oval shape I was referring to. The material between the holes would always be a weak point. From what I understand the first hole is necessary for attachment as is the last one. Would omitting the second hole, when looking from the left of Noa's pic. Leaving more material around hole #1 be of benefit or would it affect the 'tuning' ability too much? Just a thought, I'm sure lots of others have had similar.

The pivot point has a plastic bushing. It is however quite lose fitting (especially now that the hole has opened).
I initially ordered my fin sometime mid February and received it two weeks ago. From what I understand, orders should have started to get quicker though...

From the pictures and posts, I get the impression that the spring needs redesigning.
Especially with the pro, and pro (strong-fast-heavy-tall) swimmers it needs some significant upgrade in durability.
The same thing with the shoes.

Sweden here, I paied on 25th february and no Lunocet Pro yet. Friend in Thailand paied on 16th February and no fin yet.
We both have the same messge when looking at the tracking number on USPS site that the tracking number was created but no status that it was delivered to the postoffice or shipped to us yet. we hope this really is because abroud packages can not be thacked until arriving at destination country but it has gone by many weeks now since it was said to have been posted and shipped to us. How many more people did not get their finns as of today?

Great to read every one's ideas! Once again I'd stress trusting the ideas that pop in YOUR head. Each one could be crucial in finding the ultimate way forward! Or more likely in buying good swimming time till then.

I think we are all chasing so hard because we are clearly participating in a series of monofinning break throughs! Who knows how far we as a team can advance the barriers to human performance?

My SF free fall instructor said: "If something goes wrong try everything we taught you ... If you are still in trouble..... Try something else,.. If it works.... GREAT! If not... We won't try what you tried!!!!

(My class broke a string of classes where 100% survival was not achieved. Long time ago.)

How the world changes. Back then Iranian pilots went to USA flight school in Biloxi Mississippi. I played Foosball with them in the O. club on Friday nights. Remember the Shaw of Iran? Considered an ally.

I've found one way to make the spring system survive near peak performance. There are some very bright minds figuring out how to keep it pretty and get even more performance. The directions being tested are fascinating! Fear not! Ted is still leading the pack! His manufacturing skills and plant let him go where the rest of us don't have access.

I'm so pissed, mailman just left a note and didn't ring the bell (my wife was at home and bell we tested the bell) now can only get it tomorrow.
Damn

Oh, I hate it when that happens...so close yet so far! At least you know it has arrived in the neighborhood!

Thinking the idea of pressing an oversized bushing through that hole may be a quite permanent solution because of the greater surface area that would have to be distended.
To get it in there a bushing material tube with the proper dimensions but a bit too long could have a cone ground on one end. Then it would be easy to press or drive it into position. Then the cone could easily be ground off.

The oblonging holes are much less an issue with the exo spring in place. I think the exo spring will be an extinct idea in a few months but I wish I could put one in your hands or better describe how to make one till then.

I am pissed also. Been waiting week after week with no communication.

It s not cool that customers are expected to get news from here. I have to read also some comments about technique and stuff with the Pro, feeling jealous and dreming about my turn to get it in one day soon.

I really wonder how many freedivers actually get the Pro after some promises.

Dear Ted, I would like to ask for a refund for my Lunocet Pro purchase on the 16th of February. Please contact me. I contacted you many times before by email.

Sorry to hear that :(
Did you get a tracking number?
After the shipping delay, mine has taken a while to travel but that's normal...
Have you called him on the phone? (I've called quite a few times :) ) If you think I can be of any help let me know.
I felt like you too but now I feel it was better to wait just a litle more
