I also ordered mid February. I was send a tracking number over 3 weeks ago, It still says the package has not been received by the USPS.

I have emailed Ted many times, simply asking for an update, only to receive no reply. All I would like is an honest answer as to the status of my order. Cheers.

Photos: 2014 Classic Lunocet - fresh shoes - exo spring - fresh tail light ~ ready for morning!

On the question about the slotted shoe adjustment.... These shoes surprisingly did not show rotating adjustment individually or together. There is about 1/2" of easy adjustment straight fore and aft built into this particular set of shoes. I chose to place the fin as far out on the toes as possible. It fit the Luno's foot plate contour best there and I'm hoping for the most propulsion per stroke because of a bit longer arc out there.

Some one must be wondering if I'm over stating the exo spring effects?

I have five more exo springs (Rubber disc + zip ties)

that I would gladly send directly and free if you provide a pre paid shipping label (Fedex, UPS or USPS) from Scottsbluff, Nebraska (postal code 69361) to yourself. Once again I feel this is a simple but effective fix to a temporary spring survival issue.

In the same boat, we are.

I insist for a refund though, while receiving another promise that he will be tracing the package by next Wednesday.
Well, I'm tired of waiting and dreaming of my dream monofin in front of my door.

It swam like a water rocket this morning! Hang in there. It's worth the patience!

You've got the full setup i see. Turquoise carpet to simulate tropical waters, along with all the sea life you would wish for company on your dives. I can so see you donning the fin and flapping around next to that dolphin sculpture... :)

Best I could do in Nebraska. Looking around the living room trying to figure out which of my wife's aqueous treasures I could get away with skewering if I invested in one of those carbon guns.......

You guys swim in the coolest places!!!!

Maybe I'll frame and hang a Fondue action picture instead and extend my life span!

This is the spring after my two initial swims. As one can see the central pivot hole has started to ovalize resulting in a loose pivot point with a fair bit of play.
The front anchor point hole also ovalizes during swimming but returns to a rounder position after a day.
The whole system now feels fairly loose on land and even more so while swimming.
All in all, there can be solutions, but the spring appears to be the somewhat weak link in the system.
Exactly what I felt today...
before swimming with it, it was quite stiff (it came with the 4 pins in i i just tried it like that). could barely bent it by hand. After an hour of laps i could easily bent it by hand with little effort and there was some play between transitions. Centre hole is ovalized (vertically bigger).

fins feels awesome very little effort is need to get some speed and the glide is amazing! unfortunately was in a short pool (like 16m). Maybe in the weekend I'll take it to the sea.
To all of those waiting, I know it sounds like "yeah, that guy has his so he's cool and all happy" but I was in your shoes for a while too so I can say that it's worth the wait. the spring needs attention but it's a great fin non the less.

I recheck those kinds of images a lot (frames from video)

Really happy you got your fin !
I see I'm not the only one with the spring issues, it's a confirmation that it's not a one off issue. At least we know that the springs present the same problems so it will be easier for Ted to focus on those. Have spoken to him and he is working on different solutions which sound promising. More to come...
Having said that, now you have seen how much promise the fin has after fixing these slight issues.

Thanks!
Yes, even with those issues, the fins is amazing. I know this says nothing for the people that want more objective data...
To be able to tell more about it i have to use it more...

I'll give you the most objective data to date. Get the fin. Swim with said fin. Draw your own conclusions. There is your objective data...;)

I'm with you! Hoping a bunch of new people follow your suggested process Noa!

Finding it a bit unusual that the center hole in the spring has become a limiting factor in such a short time. That was not my previous experience. My springs were fairly durable if I avoided pushing off walls.

You guys with both. Is the Pro THAT much more powerful that it stresses the spring much more? If not maybe we have a rubber mix or curing issue being exposed. That would be a lot easier fix in the short term.

I'm ready for more from our dolphin researcher..... Wonder if she swam off the grid for a while?

The pro's surface area is much greater, plus the flukes themselves are thicker and stiffer. So, yes, it really does apply more force! Still works great, but for example with my Classic flukes, two pins is all I need for every level of swimming force. With the Pro? all four pins, and I could use more resistance.

Hi Guys,

The material for the Pro spring was changed lately to a higher durometer but a different compound. I tested it in the pool only briefly and went right back to work so I didn't see the damage occurring over time. The issue is that the material does not have the elasticity of the original material. I have found a way to get a more robust spring in the durometer I want using the original material. How the material is processed affects the durometer and the robustness and this is what I have tweaked. I will get them out to anyone who has a poorly performing spring. I tested this one really well and it is working great.

Thanks

This is great news. Being patient (but excited) in waiting for my Lunocet Pro will have payed-off as this issue will have been resolved before I receive mine.

Thanks Ted for all your hard work :)
