Thank you for the update. Looking forward to trying out the new spring...

Wow! It really is a whole new world with the Pro then.
I cannot speak about the classic, but the Pro does indeed have power to it. So the spring material and stiffness have to be designed accordingly.

Hi Ted, can't wait to try it. It seems that it could use some extra stiffness...
I'm going for a real free diving session tomorrow with it ( open ocean with training float ) I'll see if I can get some footage

Hmmmmmm...... How about a spring swap between these two Doc? Given Ted's post that Might get you going and be revealing! I'm assuming you'd prefer to have the Pro swimming sweet while the Classic waits for the real spring update.

I'm getting the feeling that finding the perfect spring is becoming our new holly grail...

I've felt dialing in the flex profile has held great promise for some time. That is where we have to go to totally experience the performance already available in the rest of the design.

We are focused in the correct area. Great swimming is just ahead....

BEAUTIFUL !!!........... DETAILS ! M ! .............

That second one being a screen shot... You have some great footage how the fin is behaving. Revealing?

Thanks, I have been working out so the compliment is motivating

It was an interesting session... it was a shore session so we had to swim to the spot. Being it all new, it was quite an effort but the good thing is that we had ~34m not that far off.
I have lot's of room for improvement in the technique but made some really good progress. the footage is a great learning tool and my buddies also helped correcting some details.

The fin is responsive and fast... On 2 dives I went so fast that had to abort due to equalizing (needed to do it more often) but it was just too much to negotiate in the fist session.

About the footage, yes, it tells a lot. I shot it @ 60 fps and one can see that the fin's tips bend like the cetaceans tails when then dive (I'll insert a frame ). I also noticed I apply more force on the down stroke. lot's of things to improve on my end but will need the new spring too. I might try the zip ties

I used the classic on the softest setting and "modified" it to make it even softer.

I use the pro on the stiffest setting.

It's moving a lot more water and producing lots more thrust.

Two local UWH mermaids last night used a Waterways Model 2 and the Lunocet Pro as the first monofins they've ever used.

They have decent dolphin kicks, but it was the first time they've had their legs fastened together in the water.. Which is weird for everyone.

They LOVED the Pro.

They thought it was very fast and powerful and it ripped their masks off. That's good, considering UWH players wear their masks on the tighter side.

The comfort, portability and cool look factor were just (big) bonuses.

I think it's pretty cool that this can be a device for you to swim 200m, recreational open-water swimming, a first monofin and a travel mono.

Now we are really getting somewhere! More experiences like these just ahead for more and more people!

The winglike / life-like movement of the Lunocet's tips is a really cool and functional detail to document in a photo !!

Looks like FUN Marginatus!

Neat that under water hockey has mermaids! ... Another sport I've yet to observe.

I'm thinking AA's Pro spring must not be one of those that just caused the rubber remix but thinking even AA can expect Ted's new one to be an upgrade. I get the impression from Ted's post that he has achieved a new "best so far" spring.

Sky was very cloudy today so lighting was not the best... It looks better in the video...
There were dolphins around but too far to see them underwater.

Right! Same problem here in Nebraska... Poor lighting conditions not revealing pristine water and abundant sea life ¡

Thanks for info Ted.

Will all who wait for their Lunocet Pro get this modified spring and will it affect and fix the issue of the loose hole for the spring beeing eaten up by the spring movement?

(Soon 3 months of waiting for my lunocet pro)

/Fredrik.

This is great news. Being patient (but excited) in waiting for my Lunocet Pro will have payed-off as this issue will have been resolved before I receive mine.

Thanks Ted for all your hard work

Too early to say, but I'm not sure they will hold for super long. Then again, only time will tell. I think that the Bont Vapor plus would be a better long term choice due to their materials.
Having said that, the shoes have been working well so far.

The morning of May 13 2014 will be etched in my mind as a day of irrepressible euphoria, for the rest of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Lunocet Pro Fin and Standard Fin just arrived in the post. I'm jumping up and down like a madman lol

My Bont Riot shoes arrive tomorrow ... I'm beside myself !!!!!

Thank you! Thank you so much Ted !!!!!!! You are the MAN !!!!!!

Now the learning begins ... and the carbon fibre crafting of hydrodynamic foot attachments

If anyone wants to meet me on Kona Island, Hawaii ... in January 2015 ... for a "Lunocet Pro Obsessives Symposium," it would be wonderful to meet you all and share our obsession
