Yulin - yours shipped a while ago. I will chase down yours as well.

Ted,
It is my son who tightened the screw (or loosen it I don't know), and I didn't chek it :-(

@Marco_W : thank you very very much. I'll try to get it here, and if I can't I'll tell you. Thank you again for this proposal.
I think the idea of a lunocet map is very good.
I've suggested to Ted to build a quick user guide for the lunocet : assembly, maintenance… what do you think ?

I´ve suggested it to Ted also in the first day`s where i got my one...

about the Luno Map, would be nice to have something like a Usermap for Luno`s ,dont know if it`s possible here inside, or we have to share our places to put into google earth...

Cool idea Marco. It would be neat to actually swim with some one some where of similar interests. I'm in Western Nebraska. I think Doc is nearest to me a two day drive away in Arkansas....

Phaedra2b, it sounds like you lost the bolts and nylon insert castle lock nuts that hold the flukes to the peduncle. I suggest when you get the replacements.... Glue the nuts in the holes they reside in as you assemble the parts! It becomes very unlikely you'd lose one again..... And it becomes much quicker and easier if you need to take the flukes off for travel or work then reassemble in the future.... Lots less dexterity required!

On those of us in que.... Grateful to Ted for jumping in with some info and encouragement that Lunos are moving..... If there are ten still waiting accounted for here and ten more not writing plus one new order daily.... Let's say 25 or 30 need to ship to catch up...... Since Ted has hit manufacturing full stride at 5 Lunos per day..... We should be within a week or two of the old painful line being fulfilled and fresh orders receiving fresh fins promptly. = Soooooo much better for everyone!

Hope that is achieved and Marco's map superceeds orders as a prime topic!

what i know are some more here in germany, maybe also close to me in the south, but dont know for shure...

Phaedra,

I bet your son thought the bolts were getting tight when they began entering the nylon lock part of the nut.... Logical if one wasn't familiar with that type of nut.... Seems the flukes would be kind of wobbly while swimming if all four on each side were like that.... But it's your first swim too.... So no base line expectation what the Luno should feel like.... Did you actually manage to swim it that way.... Even while losing bolts? Wow! You'll like it so much better when everything gets snugged up.

I'm quite confident the Luno is VERY strong in that area. In case you are wondering I would not worry about using the Luno with three TIGHT bolts per side instead of four till you get replacements..... Maybe stop short of risking your life though.

I managed to swim with one screw, on the left side. But the flukes were wobbling and when I looked a it, 2 nuts were already down in the sea !
I understand now the "click" on each ondulation… Thank you all for this

Wow, so many developments in one day! I am happy I joined the thread!

@neurodoc: Great videos. I am also able to train in a nearby Olympic pool, but (so far) with a pair of fins I have from long-past times when I played underwater rugby, so they are rather stiff and heavy. So I guess, a proper monofin will be a major improvement.

@Ted Ciamillo: I am glad to hear from you and much more if they are good news. I am also happy to hear the production is going better and faster, because every Luno going to different corners of the world is solid advertising for your brand.

Cheers

Carlos, thank you! glad you're here too. I just got the camera and these are some of my first attempts at self-video. Humbling to see what my form is really like compared to what I thought it was like! Hopefully future videos will look better

To expand upon Ted's explanation of the USPS parcel tracking behaviour I did some research and discovered an interesting thread:

which appears to talk about various people's experiences with 'USPS - Priority Mail International Parcels'. I include here some of the posts that are a fair and balanced selection of the comments:

There is a genuine problem here, one that a number of us, on this thread, have experienced and according to people's comments there have been cases where nothing has arrived where the tracking never moved beyond the 'Pre-shipment Information' status.

Ted has said that items have been posted, mine on the 14th December, and I'm prepared to wait until 15th January to get some information on the shipment's status or its delivery. I think four weeks is a reasonable period within which to receive a shipment or information as to its whereabouts.

I have the same information - at some point along the way to the airport there are several chances for the package to be scanned in starting with the local post office. The drop location I use is in fact the sorting facility at the Atlanta airport - this is the last place packages end up before getting on a plane. Hence if they don't scan here they have no other opportunity. The only reason I use this sorting facility is because they are open 24 hours. I am usually dropping packages around 11 pm so I can work late. Usually there is not a problem when I get a receipt as I physically watch them scan but I did drop some due to the length of the line during the holidays.

Makes me sad to lose you Poseidon. Hopefully earn you back with evidence of short order fulfillments!

Was hoping you and I and FinSailor could meet at Tornio some day and swim from Sweden to Finland in a couple of hours..... Something cool some where at least.

If any of you waiting get your Lunocet please write something.

It is a perfect time for some encouraging news!

So 10 months and 20 days and many trackingnumber shipped Lunos and all lost I finally gave up on the dream. And especially since many others got theirs much longer before mine and that to me is discrimination if anything. For Tornio swimming I will have to use other monofin that is actually possible to buy and get for real as i can not swim on a promise. I appreciated the invitation alot Chipswim is amazing idea!

You're right PoseidonSv - in fact, anyone who has an order over six months is going to be refunded and get a Lunocet Pro for free. I do appreciate the support. I have dropped the ball here and I would like to make it up to those folks who have patiently waited so long.

Wow! that would be really great. I am really looking forward for such a development!

Amazing Ted, infact I would buy 2 pair of Lunocet 2015 if i knew when I would get them. I always looked forward to have them and promote them to other freedivers and I even bought different size bikeshoes so people could try mine but sadly that never became reality. Small business like yours need free support with reaching the market by ambasadors arranging for others to try the product.

... . ..... . Oh My !!!!¡

Very kind..,.. I get the contrition... BUT..... Decided not to add my name to the list of likes on that message.....(A small protest from me and some genuine concern.)

I don't think anyone wants to even accidentally kill the Lunocet development or damage Ted or the company.....

It scares me a bit to see him make a refund part of the resolutions. I hope his economics aren't too precarious and that there are VERY few left in that suffering category. The offer does reveal a desperate intent to get caught up.

I hope there are very few eligible or willing to accept $'s back. A call and a fin would do nicely for most I bet.

Getting the fins to the swimmers is really 99.9999++++% of the resolution being cried for!

Poseidon's last two messages express the situation of the desperately unfinned beautifully:
1. HEY! I'm drying up over here in Sweden!!!!!!!
2. HOPE returned! All I really want is my super cool new fin right now and back in the water with my friends. The $'s aren't the issue. I'd buy two Lunos if I could get them!!!!.... And extra shoes so my buddies can try them out. They'll probably want one also!

(Welcome back Poseidon!). ....... Hope I paraphrased that OK.....Missed you while you were gone!
BUT! I can't feel secure you are truly back till you've gotten your shipment and are back in the water!

Damn the refund!!!! (The price is more than fair) Full speed ahead on shipping!!!!!

Thank you Chip - your're the best supporter I have but I think it is fair that those folks who basically funded the development get some special treatment not red-haired stepchild treatment like they have been getting. The unfortunate scenario of delivering to dealers who had orders just as old as direct customers and having those dealers deliver to new customers before I could get my old customers taken care of is embarrassing at the least. I needed to deal with the screamers first to avoid damage to the company and I needed to get the dealers taken care of to grow the company. No, the refunds will come and so will the Lunocet Pros. The funds the dealers are sending on new orders will go in part to send out these refunds. From where some stand the decisions I've made put me in the asshole category but whenever I am forced into less than ideal decisions I always do so with the intention to make it right - after all we are all trying to make our lives better.
