Right Poseidon¡ There in lies the problem¡ Need the same photo with the fin in it!

I grew up directly across the river from Buffalo Bills Scouts Rest Ranch in Nebraska. I now live right on the Oregon and Mormon Trails..... Where the covered wagons went. Coincidentally the Pony Express hauled mail on galloping horses here beside the Platte River..... The FASTEST mail route traversing the continent!

With this in mind I propose we reinstitute the "blue water pony express" !!!!!

We'll need: 1. Horses 2. Riders.... And 3. as Poseidon alertly pointed out fins to ship!

The attached photo should help you come up with what we are looking for:

Hello Ted,

It has passed for 8 days since I received your mail.
You wrote "I am checking on your shipment now. I am going to send you a new Pro Peduncle for your existing Lunocet."

When will you start shipping 2015 Lunocet Pro, and Peduncle?
I'd like to know the correct date to ship them.
And I need new tracking numbers. Really effective one.

I don't want refund or a free 2015 Lunocet Pro.
I'm not asking you for such thing.
I want to be an ordinary commercial relation with you.
I ordered, I paid. You should ship a fin and repairing parts soon.
It's not so difficult, isn't it?

I'll say repeatedly.
I like Lunocet that you invented. It's most wonderful gear in the world.
I don't think to buy another monofins.
If there are some circumstances you can't ship it now, I want you to tell me.
I'd like to get it by March 1st. I have a plan of trip to tropic sea.

I wish for your health.
I'm sorry for my poor English.
Thank you.

Takeshi Seo

Tak-Seo!

I think you express yourself and many others beautifully...

Some one in here HAS to receive a fin real soon to encourage us all!.... Please write about it if you do!
Then everyone else should be satisfied in short order.

I had a chance to ask both Doc and AA about their ongoing impressions of their 2015 Lunocets. They both assure me the 2015 is the real deal... The best yet.
So, Tak-Seo, I'd recommend you and anyone else who is offered one accept it with high expectations.

I was fortunate to talk to Ted live last night, which I always greatly enjoy. He assured me the Lunocet production is running well now and catching up!

My 2014 continues to swim beautifully so I'm ok continuing to occupy the position in line that will be filled when delayed orders are caught up. Therefore, I feel it's encouraging to all who wait that he expects my fin to ship still in January!

That should mean a lot of happy posts in the next two weeks.... My genuine admiration to all who have stayed optimistic and supportive while waiting so long.

Very nice offer Marco!!!

Naturally not all fins shipped are coming to deeper blue writers... But I asked specifically....Tak-Seo and Philip Fennels are for sure amongst those on the way. Should surely arrive any day!!!

I've been in touch with Ted on a non fin topic so I'm getting more than my share of chances to ask details. He's experimenting with a stepped up shipping choice that is working better so it's worth the extra cost.

More coming out daily....

I believe I have been close to being sent one more than a few times now, but still no notification that my fin is on its way of any kind.
I have heard a few times that my order will be ready 'this' week.

I am actually holding out for mid April so that I can say that I have been out of pocket for more than a year with no sign of my purchased goods.

On a more serious note, I am still very excited with the prospect of one day swimming with this magnificent looking fin. I just can't stand this daft thread. I find myself following it near enough daily in the hope that there is good news of some kind, only to be utterly annoyed by non related pictures and lame jokes about frogs and such.

Regards,
Oldfather (patiently being annoyed)

So you made a joke...
Not sure how I should feel about it :D

You really have to think of this as more of a support group than a news or progress topic. :wacky: The frogs are an experimental therapy administered by nurse Chipswim, who's credentials (and uniform) and I feel may be in doubt. One day at a time... Do you have anything you'd like to share with the rest of the group? ;)

I enjoy having my tongue in my cheek once in a while (frequently), but I feel about like oldfather does, and while fun is fun I feel bad that my post makes light of his reply (it wasn't my intention). Having been in line only a few months less, I appreciate the sentiment, and as always I really appreciate a little reality interjected into the wait. I feel like we're kind of in an endless struggle here to determine what the truth of all of this is, and it shouldn't be that way.

I'll share something with the group, Ichthys! And I'm glad that you clarified your intentions, since I agree with Oldfather 100%. I'm in the same boat as him, and my "one year out of pocket" will come even sooner. Like many of those posting here I want to support Ted's vision for a better monofin, and I'm looking forward to the day that I get to swim using his creation. I regularly check this thread to receive updates from Ted, to read reviews and see videos from those who have tried the fin, and to hear out the gripes of others who haven't yet, but when I get an e-mail notification that a new post has been added to this forum, and then find a frog image or something else completely besides the point, it just kinda makes me go :banghead::banghead::banghead:! It's kind of validating to hear that I'm not the only one who gets annoyed by corny jokes and irrelevant postings while patiently waiting for my order.

I think chips last post is his " last post", hope it's not. I too am guilty of getting off topic with my own irrelevant posts and have gone too far at times, but i'm not going as far as apologising for them, just flick through the shit, a fraction of second later and you're on to the next persons post. When I get a notification that there's a new post it tells me who it's from, don't click on it if you feel it's from someone who consistently posts things you're not interested in. I think you'll find without the silly fillers the thread will slowly fade away ,not because they're so well liked but because it wont be on the home page often and will most likely be only brought up to abuse ted, you'll be left with emailing ted trying to get updates on your order, have fun with that. How much important news do you think there is for a swim fin , enough for a daily update, I don't think so. Tune in once a week flick through the 3 or 4 pages and you'll probably be able to find a couple of things that interest you, 10 mins and you're done.

Hi Guys,

I have been waiting for some of the units that I sent to arrive before chiming in again. I am looking at a new shipping method for older orders that does cost a little extra (like $25.00)- not a lot. But seems to be getting shipments in the hands of international customers in about 3 days. Several of the shipments I sent during the holidays have not been delivered yet and some lack update on the USPS website. I am screaming at USPS as loud as possible over this.

Also, on a more technical note - some of you have gotten messages from me regarding the inclusion of Torlon bearings in the spring as an upgrade-thank you for your patience. I asked those people to keep that info quiet as Torlon is quite expensive and I didn't know if I would be able to provide it routinely. However, I have been making improvements to the manufacturing flow which is paying off in growing my previously super tight margins. It is nice to be more profitable but I also now have the ability to start including this material on every unit.

So what is Torlon and what magic does it do? - Torlon is a high performance bearing grade plastic with practically zero water absorption. Delrin, on the other hand has .2 to .5% depending on temperature and length of immersion. The dimensional stability along with the improved slipperiness of Torlon make for a better "action" of the spring. When changing direction in the fin's oscillation there is better snap and there is quicker reaction to actuation from the water pressure to place the foil in the optimal angle of attack. There is less energy loss due to friction as well. These improvements in performance are small but noticeable.

I'd like to know a correct perspective about shipping off of goods.
You mean that I have to pay extra shipping fee?

Sorry to hear that some ppl are irritated abt irrelevant posts in this thread. Personally I've enjoyed a lot, but suddenly it was a bad thing 'cause I was one of the lucky ones who got their order.. My proposal is to close this thread and set up new ones with correct titles; "Luno swimming techniques", "Ted fan club","Mad about Ted" and "Luno tuning club". Me and Chip would probably be only ones attending last one, but at least it would be fun.

Cheers, recovering Lunosapien..

I've enjoyed Chips antics immensely, I just think it's risky doing PR while trying to distract (in a good cause) from the purpose that everyone is focused on--finally receiving their mono-fins after a very long wait full of unknowns. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's at the heart of the irritation. I found it irritating at first, for this very reason, but I have to appreciate where Chip is coming from in wanting the Lunocet to succeed despite the shortcomings experienced. Complaints must be voiced in the face of dereliction, and that's healthy for the whole process, but Chip is good at helping us to remember that working ourselves up into a rage isn't going to get the fins built any faster.

Separating topics is a good idea, finSaylor, and while I may not be able to ultimately muster the courage to contribute much to the "Luno tuning club", you could count on my viewership. ;)

I just want to make a statement to Ted, here. I've been following this for a while, and I'm involved in business myself--I understand that absolute transparency is not necessarily a healthy thing for a business, because a business owner cannot count on customers to appreciate the business's interests, only the customer's interest (this is the natural tendency), but in my opinion once someone is waiting months on end, and still willing to wait a little longer, the relationship has changed a bit, and it's only right that you are completely up front with them regarding where they stand. Do we have 2 months more to go? 3 months? Do it via e-mail or something--it doesn't have to go any further than the people who are actually waiting on fins. I really appreciate the technical and shipping updates you've sent our way, but unless we're to believe Chip's optimistic prediction that the fins will be out by the end of January (I don't), we still don't know where we're at.
