Aeris F.11. Info Leak :)

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 90 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I'd love information on this as well- as I purchased the watch last summer and have been hoping for a remedy.
The release version didn't have this issue, as far as I know. But you can get the flash by downloading the latest PC interface software - it'll pull it down automatically as described above - or contact Aeris directly via the support number.

Hey guys , has anyone had an issue upgrading the firmware ? I did my F11 last night with the new firmware and now it has no dive mode at all :( just comes up with some random codes when i try to go in to dive mode. I used the diverlog app on a mac book.

Hi Lewy, I'd try it again and if it doesn't take call Aeris.

Have you tested it?

Do you get all the interface functionality?
HI All, I've confirmed that the new firmware DOES NOT change the surface display. What I'm assuming is that everyone wants a surface display like the f.10 has - which shows surface interval as well as depth, time and number of last dive. Currently - and after the firmware - the f.11 only shows the surface interval and number of the last dive - you have to push a button to see the last dive.

On the f.10 the surface display that shows surface interval and depth/time of last dive, remains for 10 minutes after the last dive - at which point the watch switches to the 'FREE' screen. The f.11 goes directly to the FREE screen. On the right is what we want, on the left is what we got - and that f.11 has been flashed to rev1b. (thats an f.10v3 btw - whenever they hit shore, the one I've been running has been rock solid)

I mean the cable is working , the drivers are passing. Even software handshaking, but device is showing as Suunto port in the system, this is may be why afterwards it is nothing. :(

Okay - I've talked with Aeris and they are aware that they missed the mark with the firmware. Personally I suspect it may be a real simple issue - like they just uploaded the wrong version - but we'll have to wait and see. They have all the information and the images I posted. Everyone remember - this is not a bug. It's a design change we requested.

Taras - it may just be that you have the Suunto drivers loaded - so they say 'Suunto'. They might work fine - if not you could try downloading the USB drivers from Aeris and remove the Suunto ones. (just guessing - I have the Aeris cordage)

For me the cable is question number 2. Number ONE is message from you that the firmware is working. :) :) So the cable will worth for it.

Hi Taras - I think you misread me! The Firmware won't break anything, but it did NOT make the changes we requested to the surface display. What I was saying is that Aeris is aware of this and has acknowledged it. Right now it is probably not worth your while to flash it - it won't hurt and it would be good to know you can (for when the fix is made) but you won't gain much.
