AIDA World championship indoor 2011- Lignano

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
... and actually speak some French... when drunk.
Hmm, that would mean you speak nothing else than French all the time.

... and still nobody has told Fred Sessa that it isn't a race.
It is hard to explain it to him. He has air just for 2 minutes, so if he wants to make his 300m, he has to go really fast.

I don't think there were any surprises today - all the usual suspects are through.
One thing was surprising though - the number of penalties for grabbing! What's happening there? Linda did not get enough cookies or what?

maybe they were grabbing someone else's fins when they realised that if they didn't surface wearing some they would get dq'ed.

Shout out to my buddy Ted Harty for getting a new DYN National Record for USA. I know he's been putting in good training so he deserves it!

hi all,
here we are sharing updates as regularly as we can:

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP INDOOR AIDA ALLA EUROPE EVOLUTION CUP 2011

unfortunately everything is written in italian, but i guess you non-italian-barbarians should be able to figure out what is a dive result and what is not :blackeye:blackeye

anyway, i will be in Lignano the day after tomorrow for STA, then i will report for the finals (except for the STA final, i hope... :martial:martial)

Well, you can swim 50m in 20 seconds including the turn, which is 300m in 2'00".

I can't wait to swim again in the finals. I was ok at 170 and definitely had more in me, but just wanted a clean swim so I came up as soon as I passed the mark.

I'm off to pool to coach junko for statics, and work on DNF for myself.

The three finals days will be huge. For the men, almost all the top guys competing (bar Dave) are here, so there will be some monster announcements and dives I think. For the women, Natalia being away under unfortunate circumstances means there's a much more open field. It should be exciting to watch.

Are you going to come visit us, Spag?

I really hope they got the stream working and Sara and or others are supplying live reporting into a microphone to the stream. Reading text on a FB page is much less exiting.

Thanks!

Kimmo reported on fcb that finals will be shown up through live streaming. Looking forward!

No luck, Chris. I'm day off from work tomorrow, and I'd die for watching Jody in DNF finals.
But yet my 6 y.o. daughter has different plans for daddy's day off....

So, swim tight and make me proud of you two. There will be prezzies from me to both of you when back to town. :)
