airguns: Sporasub One Air 2012!!!

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Having placed an order for 2 One Air's a couple of weeks ago, I'm told today that they now won't be available until AUGUST....

Seriously **** them, order cancelled.

Not mad at all rofl

sorry to hear it Bros; how about a nice woodie instead?

My jimmies have been well and truly rustled.

As you probably know, I've been waiting for this gun for ages! It was meant to be released in March at the latest, then it was April.... I was then assured by Sporasub in writing that it would the the end of May / start of June.

A little cross at the new slip in times... (understatement).

On a separate note, numerous Sporasub suppliers have had the gun marked as 'in stock' for the last 4 months... some even assured me they could ship it to the UK within days (lies). I called Sporasub on that and pointed out the three separate EU laws their suppliers were breaking... typical Italians, didn't give a sh*t rofl

No idea what to buy now, I'm totally sold on air power & vacuum kits now so don't really want to shell out on a band gun... oh yeah... to make matters 10,000 times worse... I SOLD MY OTHER GUNS IN ANTICIPATION. So I don't have a gun!!!!

The continual delay may be in sourcing the outer tank extrusion in sufficient volumes and quality (tolerances on the dimensions and surface finish), it is the only thing that is really different. Plastic moldings just need the dies created and metal parts are machined, so no big problems there.

I wanted to order one but
I keep hearing You don't wanna be the first
To own one. It would be my first air rifle
Always used bands. Do they have a real
Release date?? Thanks in advance.

I am hopping there will be lots of discounted airbaletes as soon as the one air is released!
If that happens, then an airbalete with a Tomba kit is the direction I hope to take!

Um like your thinking foxfish my thoughts exactly then leave it a year and see how they go if they ever turn up that is has any one we know got one yet?any feed back?

When reloading underwater
How does water stay out of the chamber??

if you mean specifically on the one, then there will be an O ring seal, if you mean generally on air guns then nothing as the barrel fills with water.
however there are lots of after market kits to fit any make of air gun to prevent this happening - IE Tomba kits.

Hmmm... I'm not sure how lucky you're going to be there mate... Apnea have told me that the One Air will come in at ~£215 + VAT - they have the Airbalete (Camo) priced at £275 + VAT...

I can't see companies being able to price a reduced Airbalete that much cheaper than the One Air... take in the price of the Tomba kit and you'll be paying significantly more for the Airbalete.

Fair enough -I did not realise the one would be so well priced!
If that turns out to be the case I will just buy one!
PS no VAT in Guernsey or Jersey.

Foxfish can you get them locally ? Have you many spearfishing /dive/boat shops that sell Spearo stuff? How's the boat going?

Well the Apnea store is only a 10 min flight or 45 min boat trip across the 20 miles of sea to Jersey so sort off mate, we don't have any serious spearfishing shops here just 3 or 4 small outlets.
The boat is 99% finished but no launched yet because I am still using my other boat.
