Alison and Dick Splash

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 90 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
When I read the other (sister) thread first, I thought it was some sort of weird joke, after all I had just recently exchanged PM's with Alison. Then I found this thread and realized it wasn't a joke...

Shocked, saddened and speechless.

I am sorry to hear this tragic news. It seems Alison and Colin were the kind of people who know how to live and laugh and get the most out of life. My condolences go out to their family and friends

I am not believing what I am reading! This is a true shock to me!!! I suspected something happened when Sara (Island Sands) wrote a letter to Alison, but I thought it was some kind of joke! I truly wish that it was! Alison was one of my closest mates on the forum and one of the first people that I contacted and she is the last person to give me reputation! You might say that it is hard to feel sad for a person that you never met and only corresponded with, but here in the deeper blue family it is different! The core members are here on a daily basis and you could really feel as if you've knew them for years and you count them as your friends! I would have never thought that I would cry on the loss of a person that I've never met in person but I am not ashamed say that I am crying as I'm writing this post! It is terrible that she had to pass away this away! I do not know colin very well from the forum, but I am certain a that any man that got married to Alison must have been a wonderful person!!
Alison and Colin, rest in peace my friends and may you go to heaven where you belong!!!

My sincerest condolences to their families and friends!

This is a great loss to anyone that knew them and to the Deeper blue family! I shall always charish their memory!

May they rest in peace! This forum will not be the same without her!

I suggest that everyone should give Alison and Dick Splash some karma as a last payment of respect.
As a further payment of respect, everyone please drive safely, for your sake and for the sake of others on the road!!

It's so hard to believe...
My deepest condolences to everyone who knew them.
Ali was one of the wittiest and kindest persons here. I'll miss her...

To Alison and Colin...long may your Delphinic Spirit live...and if you see a big green research vessel out there probing and testing the big blue of the Atlantic - please feel free to to come by and say hello. B
"mobilis in mobilii" ( I think thats right...you know what I mean)

I had seen the subject line but didn't look at what it was about until today.I always enjoyed the pms she sent and her wanting to help someone even if she didn't know the answer to there question.Alison had a charm and wittyness about her that was hard to hide. She and Colin seemed to compliment each other. As i'm sitting here, i'm
thinking this is a dream and tomorrow when I log on here everything will be normal but I know that's not true.I don't understand why such things happen to good people when there are so many others more deserving. If I was to dedicate a memorial I would live life as if it was going to end any minute. We are alive but are we living .:(

Being away for this long while and the first thread I get to is this... :head

Anything I would say has already been offered by others here, but damn, this hurts.

I and we have suffered a tremendous loss with both their passing and I hope that the family members they look over now can take some small measure of comfort in knowing that they both gave more than they received, smiled and laughed and those are true measures of a life well lived.

"Lord,
Yes... I am here,
And also, yes, yes... I am there now
Where am I?
I don't know;
I want to be everywhere.
O how beautiful!
Is it all of it,
This world.." - Chani Warnasuriya

With love, Brianna

I still dont believe they have gone. its been 2 weeks since their funeral and I still wait a telephone call,I look in here every hour hoping to see a post from either of them making this whole nightmare a big mistake. I know its true and they have gone, its starting to sink in.
While the forums are offline, perhaps we should all give a few minutes thoughts to our own nearest and dearest and tell them how much we care, you just never know when something awfull will strike, and on that point, spare a thought for Stoneshot, Mr Ward's son who is very ill as I type, I truly pray that he pulls through
