Hi Jeff

I'm interested but will only be back in SA in mid September. If it isn't sold by then, I'll take it.

Cheers,
John

Freedivers guns are pretty shweet..looking into buying one in the next month or two myself..but want the new models (zero sound apparently.. but we shall see)

Ahoy, any of you guys been spearfishing around the cape lately, any fish?? I'll be in hermanus soon for two months and would like to go out for a scratch in the kelp beds if I'm not too much of a wuss for the cold.
Cheers
Christoff

Ey Chris, Are you still in the Hermanus area, cos I'm gonna be in Sandbaai from 2nd-4th Oct? Lenny

Finally some leave!!! :fridayNow murphy's law says the water is crap from thursday all the way through to monday.:head
Guys let me know of your plans and if anyone has any recent viz reports, thanks:)
Also good to see covert + bluecape pokeing about:t

Lenny, I think I'm going to try Millers tomorrow if I can get hold of a gun :)

The vis has been bad out here, but has slowly cleared since it stopped raining. I'd estimate 5-6m right now.

Hi All

My wife is coming down to Cape Town at the end of this month. If you want to buy noseclips or spheras from her, please let me know. Both are 35 Euros.

Cheers!

john's wife also has a bunch of glide monofins from size 37 to 45.
unfortunately they are a bit more than 35 euro:)

This sat is looking like it might be diveable :) 23Oct, anybody feel like going for a dive, was thinking soetwater, get all the families to come along etc, have a braai, ...

Blue Spearo's are having a Hottie Shoot competition on Saturday..so hoping to find some good viz and lekker groot hotties!

Thanks for the reply, And does sound like fun, but I was thinking of doing something where we can involve all our wifes / gf's and kids etc, chasing up and down the coast might be a bit troublesome that way :)

So who's joining me for the maiden dive of the kreef season on Sunday? If the weather is nice we could even do the family braai thing that covert was keen on?

So who dived?
Went to a really awesome camping spot at Cape Columbine close to paternoster 2 weeks ago. Brilliant location, no matter how windy it was this bay was sheltered and fairly good viz. Only one hottie spot that I could find but really fun diving in water as calm as a dam no matter how choppy it was outside the bay.

Definitly going back there again soon.

Sounds like a great spot to try for kreef. I'm taking leave soon and going to be camping down at Soetwater with some friends in Jan say just after new years, anyone is welcome to join me if you like. The kreefing will be closed in the week, but my buddy is bringing his rubber duck, so we will probally do plenty of fishing or spearfishing off the boat.

I'm also keen to try do some kreef diving on the westcoast, I have never dived on the west coast! maybe camping for a weekend in dec might be nice.

Thanks for ur no. Sean I'll get back to you. I'm going to leave after church, which is about about 11-12. The bad news is that low tide is at 2pm, which means we will have to dive for bait. Unless................If I'm in Fish hoek on Saturday maybe a possibility, i might go get some bait. (sorry thinking aloud)

Cheers!

Ey folks! Nice spot there Sean! wouldnt mind giving it a go myself ;)
also wanna do lambertsbay this year...seen some monsters come out there!
Gonna check melkbos first...if shitty (prolly will be) moving up coast to that area close to hout bay where the reserve ends...(must still get details where tho) you can always swim into the reserve..pick up some big boys n swim out again :p hehe
if shitty there..moving to soetwater ,scarborough,
but might not do any of those and go straight to rooiels /gordonsbay side and be assured of diveable waters..

I think the reserve ends near the start of chapmans peak on the noordhoek side, I've know the guys poach there alot. I've heard it's pretty deep and pretty rough,....we should do some research, there may be some monsters down there
