i placed an order with them 3 months ago for some equips, they had my order for a month and kept telling me to wait in the end i cancelled my order, and that took 2 weeks to do,

i found apena to be good and dive conection in portsmouth but the mainly deal in beuchat equip,
but try apena, or portland oceananic that maybe close to you,
but give dave 1 last try on his mobile he is quite a helpful bloke.

Jonny i've ordered plenty of kit from sub prof and they have always been very good

I've ordered of SubProf too, if its in stock its no worries, if you get an email saying they've not got what you want get a Spanish speaking buddy to ring up and organise a suitable replacement! I'd certainly use them again expecially as some other guys I know have placed orders without any mega dramas.

I know people who have ordered from Subprof. They will never deal with them again due to the hassle they went thru to get their orders thru! Steer clear!:rcard

Scubastore - Diving Gear and Dive Equipment, Diveinn This is as good one. My buddy just ordered some gear and it arrived with in 3 days! Always spot on

Apnea are promt although as i mentioned before i was not impressed with an omer dagger knife they sent! I also ordered some other gear recently and part was missing. I sent an email at 10pm and got a reply 30 mins later!! The following day they posted the missing item with a sorry email. Very professional of them. 9.5 out of 10!! Well worth dealing with! Thanks apnea guys if you are reading this!:t

Dave from Spearo has always been great with and orders and patiant when i muck him about or ask daft questions!rofl

All of them have their perks but only Subprof should be avoided.

We put an order in with subprof and heard nothingfor 2 weeks , about a 100 e-mails later we canceled the order.

I put an order in with dave on the Wednesday night and it arrived on the Friday very helpful guy if a little hard to get hold of sometimes.

I bought form blue water sports which is a local internet company to me and found them to be very helpful but the stock of spearo gear is very limited.

You never know, it could work out ok! I hope it does work out for you. It sounds like there are a few others out there who have got on ok with it but everyone i know has not had any joy with them. Loads of excuses and different tails from different people when they called up on the phone to chase up the orders.

To be honest i would find the reel somewhere else and cancel the order with subprof. Check out the other sites! You do know though, that if you wait for subprof you won't get it! If you cancel the order they will get it in stock quickly. Sods law:head

I know someone who got the very same message regarding a wetsuit. He lost the will to live whilest waiting for it, and wore his fingers to the bone sending emails which he rarely got an answer to.

Not that i am trying to be negative about the whole Subprof thing!

i had that same email for ages from them, and when i called them is was hard as they speak spanish,
give them there due there cheap then most but mess you around something cronic,

I have used Scuberstore but they are in France & I have had some long waits in the past. As has been mentioned try Apnea NEW Online Store They are in Jersey which is much closer & they speak English.

got 100 quids worth of stuff of subprof before. got it fairly quick. in fairness they are seriously cheap. way ahead of anywhere i could buy here.

i think what makes them so cheap is that they have damn all instock and when we order from them, they order from the big co's, so the clock ticks away and all that.

jonny grant, I've ordered all my gear from Scubastore for 3 or 4 years now. The only time I've had a long wait is when I've ordered some thing they don't have in stock. Mostly if I order on a Sunday night my gear arrives here in Ireland on Tuesday morning. When I've had to ring them about anything, eg. corrective bifocal lenses on a mask, they've had someone who spoke english to speak with me. I trust their honesty 100% and their service is quick as long as they have your items in stock. Good luck, I know what its like to be waiting for something you are excited about getting.
