Lets keep it civil lads, either that or take it offboard to email (or create a new thread). We don't want a flamewar :naughty. When I said that I agreed with Tribs I was referring to the quality of Apneasub suits (just to clear that up).

Well done on the scallops and plaice Dave. Did you have to go far out? I've seen no flatfish yet and I'm supposed to have perfect eyesightrofl.

Got up really early today and went to Prussia Cove with my girlfriend. In for a couple of hours freediving checking out the coves to the west. One Bass spotted, a spider crab, wrasse, and the pale remains of a large dead Conger. Nice vis.

When we got out the place was full of Essex folk so the place looked like Cornwall but sounded like Canvey Island!!!

Good effort on the scallops and flatty Dave. Ive spent hours with my nose in the sand recently looking for flattys and Ive put in at least 7 hours if not more but no luck. Maybe Im looking in the wrong places

Not sure it should be moderated in my opinion, If someone is unhappy with a service they have the right of free speech to comment and make a factual statement? .. are they not? The only difference here is that the retailer in this case is a forum member.

Spearo Dave makes great contibutions to the web page and by his posts is a very expereinced and able spearo. I am sure he is able enough to reply to such posts, .... but agreed it could do with being discussed under a different thread if it continues. IMHO :>) !!

On another note I have just banked flat conditions for you all for the next forseeable future. I picked up a new surfboard at the weekend, so you can thank me for the flat spell and clear viz that is to follow .... Of course I could ruin it my buying a new mask or speargun and gaurentee a solid month of howling Westlies and wind chop rofl

It was 5-11 Quad fin for anyone interested ... as the wife isn't!! :chatup

Haha, I'm interested - my girlfriend must be related to your wife, she too seems to suffer from selective deafness when the subject turns to surf. Never surfed a quad, though Andy at Tunnel Vision tried to turn me on to them a few years ago but I resisted and bought a 6ft twinny (copied from a mate's magic Oz board); great speed and powers out of cutbacks.

Have been looking at the Elios suits on Spearo.co.uk anyone got any input on them ? I was thinking a 5mm made to measure with camo



I bought a made to measure Elios suit from Dave @ Spearo UK and I'm very happy with it (certainly feels like a better performer than my Omer Cayman suit).

In fact I was so impressed that I've ordered one for my girlfriend too (as well as ordering a load of other gear from him).

Thinking about it, that must have been about eight weeks ago now - give us a ring Dave,

I was down at Lamorna the other day my friend kindly drove me down there to get out for a bit, it looked lovely im jealous again!

well said pav everyones entitled to an opinion or we could all be speaking german !!!! its very handy to listen to peoples opinions and views its one very good way of picking up tips and tricks,and at the end of the day we all have our own minds !!!!! personally i drove to painton to adventure sports tried a suit on liked it fitted well ordered it then picked it up 6 days later all the way from italy

Since I seem to have opened a can of worms here leading to the brown smelly stuff hitting the whizzing bladed thing then I must say that people have only stated what they believe to be true. In essence the adage of 'Take as you find'. I do not even know what a Flame war is let alone intend to have started one but i do believe in the post which stated that moderation may not be required. Its a free world and we are all big boys and as everyone knows when people's hard earned money is involved then it gets even more tetchy out there. I do concur that perhaps a separate thread may be plausable or indeed an amicable area for aggreivances to be aired.

No diving mate just a week in Cornwall with the misses - anyway booked the castle & also 4 nights in Porth. However it will be interesting to see some of the spots you guys talk about.

A Flame war (or "Flaming") is a hostile and insulting interaction between internet users. Some equate flaming with simply letting off steam, though the receiving party may be less than pleased.

For what its worth I think there is a lot of mutual respect and trust between moderators and users on Deeperblue. On other forums I've inhabited threads go lock-down for just going off-topic by a couple of posts.

try conditioner mate its readily available in large quanitites rofl

Nothing worst then getting to the beach to find the bottle you thought was full ,isnt and then trying to put ur suit on. It is good entertainment for the holiday makers though
