Sounds like you'll be on the 0500 from Poole tomorrow. If you see me (fluorescent orange cycling jacket and a bicycle trailer with a speargun strapped on the side!) pop over and say hi. :wave

Unless you're sailing from Plymouth that is.

I know the feeling. I've got to get up at 0230 to get to Poole, offload my bike and all my gear and get down to the terminal at 0415. Bleugh :waterwork

Anyhow, like I said, come and say hi, it'll be nice to meet some other spearos.
 
Quite exciting for me!
After months of organising all my cyber friends are arriving!
Stephan,Vicky, Sarah & myself had a great meal in the Petit bistro, then met up with -
Duncan, Edin, Cobus, Simon, Caz, Mike, Louis, Jonny, Dan & Paul.
We had a drink or two in Christies, now looking forward to meeting the next batch...
Drinks at 630pm in the beer garden Piette hotel, food at 730, should be 21 of us for food & 6-7 more of us later on....
 
Been a great eve Mart. Can't wait for the next few days!

Tomorrow's competition - saturday the 4 of August - will start at 10.30am
The sign in period will be from 10.30 - 12noon.
Please meet opposite the L'Eree hotel by the ice cream van in the car park.
The weigh in will be a 16.45 you must be at the top of the beach by that time.
Please be prepared to meet the Herm ferry by 18.45pm, the boat leaves at 19.00 & will not wait for latecomers!

Good luck to all the divers, have a safe & enjoyable dive...



NB we might be forced to change the day two dive venue, please watch this space for an update on Sunday morning.
 
Here's some piccies from today; JerseyMike and crew headed East whilst Yeti and co went west...
Yeti managed a 2 for 1 shot Edin had a bass, simon had mullet and i had a bass.
not sure how the east coast crew got on...
The first piccie is my bass shot [5lbs approx], then Yeti, Edin and the vista

Looks like you guys have planned a really great weekend, I'd love to have been able to make it.
Definitely will make the effort next year if it's happening again. I hope you're blessed with some great weather and clear viz and I eagerly anticipate some pics/reports!

We are just back home after our introduction night, great evening, only one missing person (see you tomorrow Mike!) pretty good food too.
I was just a tad disappointed every one went to bed early & all because of some silly spearfishing competition!
Good luck everybody, not perfect conditions but, there will be some nice fish caught I am sure....
PS.. come on the Gurns (green army), down with the crapeux & the very best of luck to Alix our first lady competitor XX.
 
Early night!!!! What’s all that about???
Can’t believe that nobody got left in town to crawl back to the hotel, or had to kidnap a local for directions as he was to drunk to find his own way (Glowworm) Standing up straight and not dribbling down his shirt while trying to find a taxi and then not being able to speak after we found one (stuckinsurry) or even forgetting to pick up his life saving insulin after just a drop to much to drink one evening (me) but of course that one was Marts fault for forcing me to drink all that wine.
Have a great evening over at Herm people, and we want to see pictures of empty Pimms jugs everywhere.:friday:friday:friday
Oh and i guess we better see a few fish caught as well
