What a brilliant weekend! Thank you to Stephan and Martyn for all the organisation, and thank you to everybody for the great hospitality.

Martyn, that was a great party, I was just sorry to have to leave so early for the ferry. Next time I'll be over for longer...

By the way, I've started a thread in the 'UK and Ireland' area for discussing the Guernsey meet in case anybody wants to post up photos and reports: http://forums.deeperblue.com/uk-ireland/95664-guernsey-meet-2012-a.html

Thanks for the positive comments guys :)
I have just shared a few bottles of Roquette with Stephan who is now making his way to the airport :wave https://www.waitrose.com/webapp/wcs...raditional+rocquette+cider.html?storeId=10317

Sarah & myself really enjoyed everybody's company & we also had a fantastic weekend.
This has been the biggest Guernsey meet so far & with Stephan's & Jersey Mikes help it went very smoothly,
Stephan has been so helpful and generous that he made my job pretty easy this time around & Mike was very instrumental with his ideas & enthusiasm too.

Well done to Jonny for winning the £100 Apnea voucher & obviously a big thank you to Apnea for their overall generosity & support.
I would like to thank the other sponsors of course as we had plenty of prizes & goodies.

I hope folk enjoyed the specimen hunt concept as I see this as a good way to carry forward spearfishing competitions in the future.
There might not of been a huge amount of fish caught but there were none wasted either!

We did have some very interesting characters around this year & I was very pleased to see two ladies competing. :)
Perhaps next year we will go for a smaller tide with a mid day low tide to offer a slightly more relaxing schedule....

A very big thankyou and well done to Martyn and Stephan for putting on such brilliant weekend. We had such a fun time. We all had holiday blues as we rolled off the ferry to a damp and windy Poole Sunday night.

The hospitality was amazing throughout the weekend, and Mart's Thai lobster noodle soup was epic.

It was great to finally put names to faces and meet people face to face.

It was great to meet so many guys and gals who share the same passion for getting in the water :) . A big thank you from me too, to Foxfish and Stephan for all your hard work; and to JerseyMike for your advice on the competition techie stuff :)
Also a big thanks to all the guys who put in so much effort to come over, i hope your journeys home were safe and uneventful!

I will write up a little of my experiences when i get over this awful lurgi thing; I got bitten by some spider/bugs and have been shaking for a day now :( so sorry to miss the last evening too, but glad you all had such an epic time!

A big thanks to Apnea Jersey and our other sponsors for putting up such great prizes :) I have already spotted the new spear that i have in mind...

Stephan i will have some video for you, altho sundays bass-spectacular was apparently 'off camera' !

I know it wasnt very fishy, but as a DB meet it was A1! cheers all :)

A brilliant weekend. Words cannot express how much the organisers did to make this all work. The Thai soup was out of this world.

Not sure why everyone complained about the lack of fish, was an average weekend's spearfishing for me.

It was a shame that Jonny couldn't make the evening presentation, that was one hell of a hangover from Saturday night. Get well soon.

Stephan has a lot more photos that he will sort through & post as an album in the near future...

Absolutely Mart - just need a day or two to catch up with a backlog of work! Will try to get a video edited as well.

Hi Stephan,
how can i get you my video footage - its about 675MB ? do you have dropbox or something?

Johnny - I do have dropbox and use it regularly but that won't handle files that size.

Is it one file or multiple files? If multiple might have to be done in stages.

Thanks!
