If ur not pic'd out, the Jersey boys have posted a few pics and a couple of vids on Club Apnea facebook page, biased accounts obviously! thx again Mike

I would like to thank Mart, Sarah, Jonny, Stephan and Mike for organising, hosting and helping the event.

It has been great few days on an island with very kind and nice people.

It has been a privilege meeting everyone.

I also like the competition rules - I think this is the way forward.

Hope to see you again. :)

Guys, all of you will be most welcome back next year.

It is difficult to decide on a date until the new year though, as this is when the tide tables & the big rod fishing competitions are announced.

We don't really want to coincide with other fishing events & we need to decide on the tides etc..

However - yes, we will be continuing the tradition & Guernsey will be hosting a fish in next year... :)

It is just such great fun to meet up with our cyber friends....

For the official UK Meet we'll be figuring out options in the next month. We'll open pre-registration in September.

Whether or not we go back to Guernsey i'm pretty sure i'll be around to help Mart next year for the fish-in anyway!

A late thank you from the Sarnians too - have been busy filleting and cooking some of the fish kindly donated.:p As we also had a 6lb chancre given, and I don't really like cold crab, Monday night was Thai (yes again!) fish and crab cakes, last night grilled bass with chilli and ratatouille.
Nice to meet some new UK cyber friends, and even new Crapaud ones!:t still trying to tie up all the people met with their forum names - I wonder what Stephan is planning to do with those little video cameos Vicky took?
So well done Mart, Sarah, Stephan, Vicky and Jersey Mike for all the organisation and hospitality - and of course to the generous DB sponsors. Hoping to actually have a shot at a fish next time, still it was good to try some new spots.
Cheers for now :wave

Sounds like you guys had a great time! Wish I coulda made it, but theres always a next time I guess... Looking forwards to seeing these videos/photos!!

Spaniard, you would have been proud of us last night, we were probably the last home at about 1.30, after a few night caps with some of the younger ones! For some reason my legs appear to have stopped working after I got out of the taxi and I disappeared backwards into the shrubbery, as a granite wall mysteriously moved. I think I can claim the first injury of the weekend, not shooting myself or being dashed against rocks, but a severe case of granite rash to the elbow and hands! :crutch:eek:

Nice one Col! Good job your better half was there to steady you:)

I have followed all the posts and seen the photos and it looked like another fantastic Guernsey adventure! I can't wait to return and enjoy myself and maybe go diving or something.......Mart and Sarah did another excellent job which is always helped by you lot getting into the spirit of things.....literally in your case!

Still working on the bigger video but wanted to post the Rogues Gallery i've created from the weekend. Not got everyone on there but some people were a bit camera shy :)

Should help a bit with matching real names to usernames here on the forums.

More to come!!
