Make sure you are logged-in, and then click on 'User CP' in the top leftish part of this page.
This will take you to your 'Control Panel' page and, underneath your 'Subscribed Threads', you will find the reputation comments that people have left for you.
There is something on there from me, from a week or so ago, I think, reference some spear gun bands I've got for you, if you still want them.
In retrospect it would probably have been better to PM you. Anyway, I've still got them if you still need them, and if you don't then no problem.

Just finished playing/editing with with a short movie filmed in and around Portland over the last couple of weekends. Filmed it using my Go Pro camera on setting r5 and used a red filter when in the water.
It's no speilberg but I enjoyed filming and making it none the less.

nice boat kev, just gotta get out of my shitty high stress job move to weymouth area and buy one of those bad boys - suppose i should have something to aim for and my passion for spearing just keeps drawing me in
Had a fantastic dive this morning with Coops and Glowworm, got to the bill to find John already drifting around after getting in on slack water to have a look at the ledges. After slipping into the water along I went, saw heaps of bait fish, a few Bass, a couple of Mullet and a beautiful Seal.
It came sneaking up behind me and gave my keep bag a bit of a pull which at the time almost made me leave my skin but after it came flying around in front and I could see what it was all was well. Fascinating creature’s of that there is no doubt, it kept with me right up until I got out on a ledge and after getting Glowworms attention we both got back in minus floats and guns just to have a freedive with it and it didn’t disappoint. Both John and myself had a couple of close encounters with it as it stood on its nose under the water almost asking to come and play.
Great experience and one of those times that I wished I’d had a camera.
Back home now and just finished picking a rather tasty Crab for tea.

the go pro hd has 5 settings which relate to the different angle's and frames per second it films in.
Podge sounds like a fun day was had by all. That seal can certainly give you a start when you're not expecting to see him approach like a bullet out of the blue.
Dived from the shore at Eype yesterday (just moved to the area and starting to explore) and saw very little except lots of Wrasse. Is there usually much around Eype? Was hoping to see something a little bigger and perhaps some mullet or pollack or bass. Anybody know where's best around Eype?
Went in the water this morning from West Bay (on the West side of the breakwater) and encountered lots of Pollack. Took 2 reasonable-size fish for the barbecue, but again didn't see much that was over 1lb or so.
I'm hoping to do lots of shorebased (don't have a boat...yet) spearfishing around here, so does anybody have any recommendations for good places to find some slightly larger prey?...

I have dived eype a couple of times and had results with bass, seems like you should try again and log when and where you get results, ie whether your fishing on a rising tide/ how long befor etc etc. Befor long you'll have a excellent reference for you to consult when you are out and about.
Have seen cuttle fish there but don't tend to shoot them, unless for bait when jigging on the boat.

Thanks for the Kev, I did see a large cuttlefish and lots of wrasse, but not much else. I'll definitely be trying again though, perhaps next time on a rising tide.
Try out to the right over the rocks at high tide if memory serves you should find what your looking for

Mate Cuttlefish are 1st class eating, SurfnSpear cooked one up at a BBQ we had out at Castletown a couple of years back and it was like someone switched on the lights. Cook them fast and hot with a bit of season all, try one mate you won’t look back.

Went out on thursday and friday around Portland Area, the fish seemed few and far between. The bass where abit scittish too, but took a nice 6ld Lobster to make up for it though!!!! Cuttle fish are very tasty too!!!!!!:inlove
Podge is right. O'Three is the best - you can buy there Cressi and Immersion equipment paying reasonable prices. And they can do this very usefull thing as well:

That is useful. Not sure my zip would need to be that wide though, especially in the cold water!!
