Thanks guys. I'm well chuffed with the bass; been after him all year!
Off again in 10 minutes, but I'm sure I wont repeat last nights performance, but will be happy with the usual suspects like 3-5lb mullet and 2-3lb bass.
Still really want to break that double figure barrier!
I'll report up tomorrow.

Had a nice solo dive last night at a local spot for a few hours. managed to pull off a shot that most would could spawny but id like to think otherwise and managed 2 bass around 2.5-3lb mark with one shot. All in all got out feeling quite chuffed
Well Done on the fish, good shooting skills. I would rep but gotta spread it around a bit more first
So this weekend I'm gona be down Bognor way, and after hearing lovely things about Bognors reefs (or whats in them) I am planning on trying it out.
Therefore I was wondering If anyone here had any first hand experience with Bognor, and could give me any advice, such as how to locate the inner/outer reef and how far a shore swim it would be, where to enter, or any general advice.

Last night was spearing at Swanage with my buddy. Managet to catch a second lobster in my life 
. Not a monster but gives me something to be proud of...
the water temp was 15 C, vis about 6-8 meters, plenty of plaices and cuttlefish in shallow water... but no sea bass, no mullet seen...
where to find them????????

Dive yesterday late afternoon in daylight = 1x 3lb mullet
Moved on to another spot in darkness = 2x 2lb bass, 1x lobster, 1x scallop and 1x huge cuttlefish.
Missed another giant bass last night; he came to investigate the speared cuttle, so loaded up, waited and he came back,,,,but missed!
Not much about last night, but going to have lobster for lunch today, then mullet curry for us and bass and wild rice for the kids.

You need to put some water in the bath mate, otherwise they could die!

Its not the great white family, GW, porbeagle and mako sharks are members of the mackeral shark family, but lets not allow facts to get in the way of sensationalising a story
It's not sensationalising! You've clearly not read the whole story...I mean, check this bit out..."It was supposed to be a pleasant day fishing for tiddlers off the Cornish coast. Quick dive report from yesterday:
Nipped in to a nice rocky kelpy spot for a couple of hours around sunset. Shot a nice 4lb 2oz mullet as soon as I rounded the first corner. Nice headshot stoned it.
Carried on swimming and saw quite a lot of fast small shoals of 2-3lb mullet with the odd bigger one lurking among them. Shot one that was just a shade under 4lb. It was a long-range shot and I fired, saw the spear fall to the bottom and thought "oh bugger" but then felt the tug on the line - it was a low gut-shot and the spear had gone straight through. I quickly caught up with the fish and put it on my stringer. Didn't see much else that dive.
After sunset me and Lee headed over to another spot for a marathon swim for 3 hours. I got two nice 2lb bass and another lone 4lb mullet. The mullet was off to the side and I followed it until it turned, took careful aim and pulled the trigger... SCHNICK! (my gun doesn't say BOOM!) and then I saw my empty spear fall to the bottom. "Bugger" I thought. But then I saw the mullet quivering in mid-water with a few scales shaved off its head. It was very slowly swimming away from me so I zoomed over and grabbed it very tightly with both hands! It joined the bass on the stringer.
A great evening's dive and some nice tasty fish :friday

Fresh water will kill a lobster in time. They will last for days covered by a wet tea towel or newspaper and left in the fridge. Although I tend to cook them straight away then prep them for the table.
I've had peeler crabs in my fridge now for nearly 2 weeks covered in damp seaweed and they are still alive
