Got out just before 1am big thanks to lee for taking my loaded gun whilst I wrestled the critter into my bag

Cheers buddy Nothing else for me, seen 4 crabs along with couple of small bass and mullet, not worth taking though. The lobby well and truly made up for it

My brother has a knack for seeing lobsters (I'm terrible) and the area we dived is one of his favourite spots to get them so keep your eyes open next time your there

thx sperolee... i thought so about the walls... it would be nice spot though... loads of caves and crevasses

I personally have never had any trouble diving the walls. If you are shore diving you should be ok I think it's mostly boats they don't like. The one time I got busted (on a boat) I just got asked to move on. As lee said the most suitable area is sandsfoot. It has a small car park with parking further up the road aswel. The Vis there should be clearing as the water is dead flat at the moment.

Hi guys, what's the vis like around Dorset ?

Shocking at the moment (2m best very patchy and quite milky) but it may be clearing quickly as a friend of mine has just told me Chesil looks crystal clear at the moment. He is venturing in now so I will have a better idea of the west side tomorrow.

But as said most easterly facing beaches are quite bad. Hopefully it will all clear soon tho

Lovely.. I am in Jersey at the moment for two weeks and clear vis and,10 degrees and only flatfish on stringer so far

Ah so you've come on here to brag haha jealous. Even tho we've now got no Vis but the fish are starting to come in

Scoobaru - i was thinking to go there with my cayak. I think it may be more visable from the shore and someone may be a bit anxious that there is a cayak with no one on it and people don't know the flags so they are gonna be confused and may have even call coast guard or something... I will dive off shore as it is gonna be my first dive in your area. Thanks for advices. I will post some pics if i get lucky.

If you are using a kayak maybe try the outside of the wall as they don't mind that so much and it is less likely to cause concern to walkers. When you plan on heading down let me know and I may be able to join you depending on times/days etc

Managed a dive this morning. Vis in Portlang harbour was about 3-4m so it was nice. Quite cold though (some 8°) - i was freezing cold after 3 hrs of diving. took just one flattie as i haven't seen antything else. No bass, no mullet... But season is open for me .

You must have been in really early - best time tho i reckon quite often you can beat any wind.

Yeah. I was there at 4am... So a bit of night dive and a bit of day.
