Yeah real shame with that cliff collapse , it's amazing how far the chalk spreads out. Was hoping the winter battering might have cleared it, but it doesn't seem any better .

I have used the mares camo for the last 3 years mate. Served me well but finally up for replacement. I have bought the same suit but in black, personally I think if you can lie motionless in the water, it doesn't really matter what colour the suit is! Wonder if I will eat my words!!
I have watched hundreds of you tube clips especially bass clips from the Shiny, Kev Daly, Dario and others from across europe and the main thing they have in common, is they stay motionless, calm and good breath hold.
I'm sure the Picasso suit is top quality but I bought the mares for £124 from scubastore, Spain. Excellent customer service and delivered for £7. The only thing I have slight reservations about is the knee padding, but they have taken a pounding from rocks etc, my weight and like I said lasted 3 years. You have to make sure the suit is well lubed up as it will rip very easily but that's the same for similar suits. Mates have bought made to measure suits from America but I find the mares suits me.
Anyway enough said.
Think we are all desperate to get in, like spearolee said dive all year round.

Completely agree with scubastore.com! Thought they were excelent. Just got my omer 5mm blackmoon and arrived with haste and the wetsuit iyself is great! Very toasty dive on saturday but my face felt like it was on fire still!

do you mean durdle door? ( lulworth ) if so the vis is terrible there these days after the cliffs fell in the sea, last time i went down there it was like milk it was so bad! Its a super chaim because i loved that place, went there 3 times a week free diving years ago!

Yes it is lulworth . If tides moving to the right you will get clear water very good viz. If tides moving to the left will be very milky water. but then you have to swim on the left side half mile then you will reach fosil forest is amazing place to dive and spearing mate.
I hope i will see you there;)

how do i know if the tides are moving left or right tho?

thanks so much

If it's running off (dropping) it will go right (west).

if you see milky water in lulworth cove then is wrong tides certainly;). You have two things to do. 1.you have to walk - to the durtle door pass this broken cliff
2. swim or walk to the left half mile until you will reach fossil forest . finally i find out if is strong tides you will get better viz. of course it's tides on the right side.
but if is everywhere bad viz then nothing gonna help you:)
hope that helps mate

Did they send you a compressed version? If not, yours maybe a bit warmer than mine which is compressed neoprene (its printed on the inside collar).

I like my blackmoon, however the brighter Omer logos all over the suit don't quite tally with the subtle shades of the blackmoon!

I drew over the Omer logos with a permanent black marker pen to make them blend in.. I don't wish to be a walking advertising board.

The ink has washed out a bit now, but it's still an improvement.

Yeah I got the compressed one, still find it very warm. I dont really mind the omer logos on it too much as long as its not in in flashing neon letters im fine with it!

lols,

we are going to give it round 2 tomorrow ( as last weekend was real bad vis )

anyone else heading out?

After finally finding the new thread I am letting you all know I have been quite a lot since January and I will keep diving till I find some BLOOMIN VIZ :(. Not much caught this year so far but kitted out with new suit guns float and all other accessories I am looking forward to this years season :)
Bring it on :)

gaaaaa, checked webcams and magicseaweed etc, looks like its not worth it

ah well, home diy it is..

I was after trigger fish. I don't see them at night, so became a 'daywalker'.
I will dive in the day; just prefer the frill and more extreme night dives. Also get a bit bored on deep day dives, I like to keep on the move and cover vast areas.
we pulled out a few triggers and pollack on that dive
