Just a few quid mate!
If you want to be trendy then a 3D suit is really cool but black will still keep you warm & catch you fish! Most guys go for camo though..

Hahaha..
Exactly Mart.
I am from old school and I am not anxious to be trendy.
I use both black and camo. No difference at all.

Here again winter is coming back,-3C and damn sleet.

SPEARFISHING

The fire truck has come in useful over the last couple of days, the only way to get to some customers.

ditto! I just have camo cos I think it looks cool! I don't really think it makes a jot of difference but people are entitled to convince themselves it does! ;)

I've seen (missed the opportunity to shoot) most of my biggest fish whilst fumbling around with gear and/or making a right commotion splashing or bashing rocks around looking underneath for creepy crawlies. :head not so often 'pretending' to be hidden, burried in kelp, camo suit or not from fish that can in all likelyhood hear/feel your heartbeat and your muscles twitching :)........just my opinion mind.

anyway back on topic!!! ....how many sleeps left until fishin??

Worth a look, but Jonny had better keep away.

:wave Hello all. Eric Haury again here. (aka this guy: http://forums.deeperblue.com/uk-ire...er-about-mermaids-not-mermaid-who-writes.html)

Should have written sooner , but so busy :head.

So. Have any of you tried to catch a cuttlefish? Best of all would be to catch with a net or sack rather than spear, but spearing information could help. How quickly do they spook? There a strategy that works? Anything I should know what typically happens when you try to catch them?

PS Writing to you from New Orleans now. So just think, a couple centuries ago, (moat of) your ancestors and the residents here would have been able to converse, well enough I'd imagine, with different varieties of French.

Hi Eric, cuttle fish very often lie (hide - rest?) in the sand, partly covered normally, with just a few indications of them being visible!
I think you could catch them in a net & yes of course they will eject large amounts of ink!
