Tested my new MTM wetsuit today. At first I thought they had used little sarges dimensions as it was a right b1tch to get on. But after a struggle I popped into it and it felt really comfortable. Went in at Port Graf knowing the vis was sh1te and it didnt let me down it cant of been much more than 1m. Good test of wetsuit and now this weight belt again ive actually gone up in weights from a scuba to spearfishing suit! But I am really pleased with it from Spiros at Oceanos in Greece great service and product thankyou Foxfish for your recommendation

Did you use some conditioner to lube the suit?
how much weight are you using?

Hi Jonny. Yes used lube I think I just need to get used to it, its a bit of a change from a scuba suit. I weigh 103kgs and I went in with 9kgs with new suit and was really buoyant. I use 10kgs with scuba suit and going to try 11kgs next time because I was so buoyant. It was a bit of a shock because I thought I would go down in weight not up?

New suits contain more air in the neoprene, it will compress over time as you stretch it & water pressure will squeeze out the air too.
It you used your old suit for scuba that will be well compressed!
Other factors are body mass, fat to muscle % & how much air you put in your lungs before diving!
A good starting point for the amount of weight required is around 10% of body weight & thereafter you need to adjust accordingly.

Thanks for that advice Mart. Ive stuck 2 more bullet weights on and will test it when weather clears up.

That is a good way to work it out. I'm 75Kg and I use 8Kg of lead (Four in a vest and four on my belt)

I haven't tried 11kgs yet lads but I aint going to be far off unless my suit gets less buoyant like Mart said.
