Holiday Guernsey 2007

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
So who is running with me ? I go most mornings but we can go after our dive if you prefer. O & you can get a temporary membership at the locale gym if you want? - anyone? & Sarah says bingo on Fri is great?

dont do running, its these dam bingo wings they just slow me down im up for anything! just going though my stuff now packing, unpacking ,packing..... cant wait

Bring - Macintosh & wellies! Not the best forecast especially for tomorrow, hope the force 7 dies down by Fri otherwise it is going to be a ruff ride mate!

force 7! in condors terms and conditions it said they dont sail in more than force 6 looks like we'll have swim it

Yeah, and judging by the news of the last few days, you guys might as well get geared up at home and start out now!

Only another 7 hours at work and that’s it.
HOLIDAY TIME!!

Hope its not raining as hard there as it is here.
I’ve even had my fishing car cleaned just in case anybody needs a lift.

Not raining at the mo but might get some later?
One of the Condor sailings has been canceled for the evening boat, force 7 forecast this afternoon! Tomorrow looks better & the weekend not to bad but of course the sea will be well stirred up!!
Still we will give it a go & it doesn't seem to bother Marco much as he goes every day & is still catching bass.
Must go now to pick up Spaniard on the 1230 plane.

Just escaped wage slavery and had a walk along the sea front. Although there are a few white horses out there, nothing to worry about for tomorrow...it's getting quite warm, and there was even a strange yellow orb in the sky!

Welcome Spaniard - look forward to meeting you later.

"strange yellow orb in the sky" ???

aaaaarghh, it's the end of the world! We're all going to die!!

I'm hoping I'll be able to join you chaps Friday eve (maybe), Sat morning and Sunday evening. Are you planning on posting shipping movements on the forum or do you want to PM me a mobile so i can track you down?

Cheers. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Weather is pretty wild here at the moment, think podge is currently fitting water wings to his car! Not bothered though, am keen to get in whatever the conditions - am used to smacking into the bottom before you see it by now.

Is it worth sticking a plugging rod in (just in case!)?

It's really hammering down here at the moment, the first arrivals must have brought the weather...

Well Spaniard is here :friday & it is his birthday on Sat :friday :friday
James should be here but Dave (who is collecting him ) ain't answering his phone?

Strewth Podge I recon you might of met your match with that Spaniard chap!!!
He might be little but he drinks like a fish!!
There was all this talk of spearfishing & night diving but we will have to see what every one feels like 2mo?
Col has offered his hospitality for to 2mo night (tonight now) but I might not wake up until then? Don't think I will have much conversation till mid day anyway!!

:hungover :hungover got a slight headache - must be something I ate!

Well done Foxy - fantastic grub :thankyounah - that Spaniard's a lightweight!

Happy to do a paella tonight, if podge and co would like to come - I only need to nip out and get a few fresh bits this afternoon. Just let me know.:friday

any thoughts re this morning - east or west?

Crumbs! I did wake up!!?
Good night by the fire, huge amounts of alcohol consumed & a few laughs revolving around marshmallows!
James & Spaniard will both be swimming with a Rocquette up their arse today!
They decided that our locale cider (Rocquette) was worth drinking & drank the Islands supply.
Anyhow OMD is taking them in the water this morning, vis will be crap due to yesterdays wind & I am going to meet the OTHERS (last night does seem like an episode from lost) ready for round two!

How true those words were! Couldn't find out where they had gone, but after looking at Chouet and Amarreurs decided the sharp place would be best - and that's where they had also gone! However, they had already gone in, over G. Havre side, so I went to the other side. Vis was as predicted, pretty bad, but I did see one enormous bass ( 7-8lb?) cruising along the bottom of a weed bed. Shot at the tail instead of ahead of it ( doh!:head ) and missed. That was all I saw, but the others also saw very little.
