A few more pic's from yesterday. The Humps are an amazing place especially when the tide rises and then falls by 10metres (35 feet) and also runs at over 10knots.. Its a very fishy place as well as a very beautiful environment which gave up some of its goodies for use as tea tonight.

Dave.

Sitting at work waiting for the stories of catches... hoping to get in with you on Weds/Thurs, and catch up with you all later tonight for a Rocquette or 3 at the "Clubhouse" !:friday:friday

p.s. on my way home from work around 5.30ish going along the coast by Port Grat, I passed a silver English reg. car which had a familiar-looking rather stout carrot-headed gentleman passenger! If you saw someone in a beat up old blue Golf GTI cabby waving at you, it was me!):t

We are going to Herm Island tonight, boat leaves at 7pm sharp.
As there is a big swell on the west coast diving will be restricted to the North East today, meet at the Bordeaux Islands at 245pm.
(Brett if you are reading this - surfs up big time!)

Crumbs!! I feel a bit jaded this morning :blackeye
So did I and you had a start on me! :hungoverTomorrow doesn't look much better weather - we may just have to sit in the Rockmount with a pint and watch the surf!

See you all later at the boat.:):friday

Yes great weather and I'm supposed to be sailing across the channel tomorrow night in a yacht and in a race back again on friday night.

Any catches to report yet?

Mart trudges up the beach(fishless)about an hour ago.
May look like a fine day but vis was poor.
I didn't wait for Birchy to emerge.
Meanwhile Spaniard has rested today with a slightly injured arm( being out of gun-loading practice!)and needed to buy another mask(no comment!)
As for the others, contact has been lost temporarily so dare not think what they've been up to!

I also feel decidedly average - must be something I ate! I unwisely offered to take podge, glowworm, sis and birchy to find a real ale pub. got home about 1.30. will post some pics but broadband down at the moment. grrr!

Now back online after calls to wave and re-setting everything, checking filters etc.etc.

Some pics from last night in Herm - Baby Spaniard trying her first Rocquette cider, Podge and a side order of a whole loaf of garlic bread, the group on the way across. A good time had by all I think!:friday:crutch:hungover

I have heard that it got a little messy in the end though - John somehow got involved with a very long walk to the hotel!
Anyhow the motley crew are rod fishing of the Doyle at the moment while I am at home chopping & shredding tonights feast of Thai food.

More pics of tonight's pre-lobsterfest warm-up, at which Foxfish and Mrs Foxfish's excellent Thai - style dishes prepared our digestive systems for the onslaught of carbs, cholestorol, alcohol, and generally excellent gourmet food anticipated tomorrow night.:friday:friday

great pictures there guys, so sorry the weather is snotty :-(

I think today is likely to be the best of the next few, so maybe i should try my lungs out... first time since June... would be good to catch up with you all.

West wind and swell, so how about a South-coast swim late afternoon? moulin Huet, or st martins pt?

I will ask the guys Jonny but it is a bit awkward to dive over the low today because low is at 6pm. Perhaps we can eat a little later tonight?
Anyway it would be great if you can meet up with us.

No, feeling much better today than the last 2 mornings, even up early!

I think the boys will be worm-drowning again today, given the Magic Seaweed forecast! Hopefully they can improve on the fish caught total of 1 mullet so far ( Birchy I think?):) Anyway, the low tide today will probably coincide with us downing our first aperitif Rocquettes early evening!:friday:friday:friday

Some more pics - Podge topping up his garlic bread with a jug of garlic butter, and baby Spaniard ( say "awwww"!) - Juan I've got more pics which I can e-mail you so you get them at full quality.
