I hoped that my first post in deeperblue wouldn`t be such a sad one. Rest in peace Loic.

My condolences to his family.
He was the first freediving hero I got to know when I found this forum.

My condolences to his family and friends.
It is a great loss for freediving sport.

A very sad day.

Maybe I'm to early asking but I kind of expect a huge media coverage and a big chill effect on the sport, the next 'Audry' moment.

Would stoping acknowledgeing furter No-limits records be helpfull?
In VW one at least takes into account the selfpropelled journey to the surfice.

I wonder what exactly happend down there.

To everyone my condolences,
Thank you Loic for all you've done, I whished I would have met you in life.

Love, Peace and water,

Kars

Really terrible news... It is my personal opinion that maybe the freediving world reached the point of no return when it comes to no-limits... having 2 of the best freedivers in the world have incidents while training, with completely different equipment and regime is just too much of a coincidence to me.

Even Herbert didn't come out unscathed from his record attempt, he got a broken eardrum... nothing has come out perfectly in no limits since a while back... I really really hope the next freediver who tries no limits again will stop and think about what has happened so far.

sad to hear such tragic.

...the sea gives / the sea takes...

Rest in peace, Loic.

That again proves that NLT is the most dangerous freediving discipline.
