Nice one Brett! :)

Got that boat I sent ya last week.

Orkney dory 450, rare boat. Bit smaller and faster than your dads, nice floor space and centre console.

Best O' Luck with the new boat Bd.

I put up a post on the angling forum on Saturday night as well...it was visible after I posted it but deleted the next day. So much for a forum that a mod can make an outrageous comment and leave it up there while he removes any comments that might challenge him.

Nice one! Looks like a great boat and very practical for what u will use it for. How much? Ill be getting a rib at the end of winter I'd say. Not much use for a boat at the moment.

Aye, cruising, fishing and diving. Paid 3.5 engines alone worth more alone.
End of season bargain. If u wait till next year you'll pay top dollar. Keep an eye out now till Xmas and put in yard. Will be cheaper than buying next year, well that was my plan anyway.

Won't keep it on mooring, will use it to scout out spots, starting with scallops :)

Needs a little clean and tidy

ohh nice new toy I want one..

I'm in Ukraine at the moment and for some reason the angling site is blocked? I take it my comments never made it public?

Would'nt mind a boat myself but getting rid of my van so need a new car and possibly another van to convert over the winter.

I'd say that thread is dead...

How come u are selling our camper?

Took the boat out yesterday, very fast, very economical.
Will need to tune and change a few things before I dive from it.

Going to sell the camper as I want to upgrade it to something bigger, not sure if I'll buy a factory converted van or do it myself.

It's a 2004 Renault traffic DIY camper conversion, although it's not registered as a camper yet so price is pretty reasonable.
Have abit of work to do on it before I sell it just to tidy it up but should go through reregistration no problem.

Well done Feargus :p, now that is a big fish...I was reading through the comments on the facebook page and I noticed quite a lot of the commenter's thought it should have been released.
It left me wondering if any of them enjoyed a tuna and sweetcorn sandwich lately and if there is a big disconnect happening here. I watched a series on tv recently called Kill it, Cook it, Eat it...Its Sensationalistic TV at its best but the points raised are valid. I wonder what they would make of barbarian spearhunters?

bluefin tuna is almost an endangered species, so there are arguments for conservations. [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_bluefin_tuna"]Atlantic bluefin tuna - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]
Also its maybe the best fish we have in our waters and would be a great sports fish if you could target an tourist industry.
Anyway, most of the tuna in the cans and sambos is not blue tuna, more likely some sort of jack. Blue tuna would cost waaaaaaaay to much to process like that ;)
I'd still prob nail one if I had the right gear... but just as a once off not a weekly thing ;)

Ye, definitely need a bigger boat...and a bigger gun ;). Agree totally on the conservation side of things but I've been hearing a fair bit lately of how cruel hunting is and that killing fish or animals is barbaric, I'm thinking that society in general has forgotten (or doesn't care to think of) where their food really comes from.

100% agree with that.

What I cant get my heada round is the "sport" anglers who preach catch and release and look down on anyone who would eat what they caught... then head home to chipper for a fish and chips themselves....

people are way too far removed from the necessary 'death' that comes with being a meat eater.

Or a Big Mac and Chicken MacNuggets Happy Meal! ...about as sanitised an eating experience as you can get. The waste that is associated with the processed meat on supermarket shelves is scandalous.

If you haven't seen that series "Kill it, Cook it, Eat it" yet its well worth a look, they covered an abattoir with viewing panels, slaughtering several species of animal and then served it cooked to the audience. A game hunting lodge in Scotland where the guests ranged from Vegans to full on Meat eaters, they had to hunt and cook their main course. Its a shame they didn't cover fish...we all know the waste that goes on there and not just with fish dumping over quotas.
