Leaderfins

It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Ordered through fins4u. The leaderfin website hasn't been updated to show the camo carbon fins yet.

Ordered a pair of glassfiber fins from Maxin of leaderfins. Email transactions is fine. He shipped out very quickly after I send him the photo of the money transfer receipt.

The only problem is they only accept bank wire transfer which cost almost the same as shipping. fins4u site provides paypal but the list price is in GBP which is larger than EURO.

I ordered a set of Leaderfins (Freediving EE) for my friend and they arrived in 3 weeks. The fins were packed very nice!

I know its too late now, but it should work out cheaper through us at fins4u, as shipping is cheaper, and you dont pay the bank transfer charges

does anyone have a list in which footpockets these fins fit? I'm going to order the camu carbon version but want to get a nice footpocket before I order them

They can be made to fit in either omer stingray or millennium. You can potentially make your own adjustments for other foot pockets as well.

A friend has them in pathos shoes - what kind of adjustments do you mean? I never owned fins that have separate fins and footpockets so I don't know what adjustments do you mean

I'll go and try omer footpockets this week and if they fit I won't bother trying others.

Drilling holes etc as each foot pocket has them in different places. Pathos is very similar in design to the omer so would fit ok.

Just wondering if they can be supplied in stingray footpockets? and anyone might be able to comment on a comparison between carbon stingrays and say the hard carbon waves? Performance not price as i currently have plastic stingrays and thinking of upgrading the other blades I'm considering are dive r so any input appreciated

I was just trying on omer millenium and stingray, and the stingray is much much much better, and the price is the same

but the guy in the store said that omer blades for millenium and for stingray are very different, and the angle is different, so he basically said that a blade for milenium couldn't fit the stingray and vice versa

so can I use leaderfins carbon camu with omer stingray pockets?

Yes indeed options available are:
Blades only to fit millennium
Blades only to fit stingray
Foot pockets created by leaderfins designed based on stingray

Hope this helps

one more question:

leaderfins footpockets vs. omer stingray footpockets

are they of comparable materials and quality? are one softer/harder both same?

nevermind as maksim says he won't sell me separate footpockets:

to tell my story - I've ordered 2 pairs of fins (for me and a friend) - 1 Waves Carbon and one Waves Carbon Alga camu, the blades are in the process of delivery.

at the same time as I ordered the blades my friend ordered footpockets for us at a local dealer at (what we thought) the best price 37€ for a pair of Omer Stingray footpockets. That was on thursday. Today he went to pick them up for us, and the guy had only 2, as there is an obvious misunderstanding in our country and every sales guy who we contacted said aprox the same price ~40€. But what we didn't realize was, that the price is for 1 shoe?!?!? WTF? Who the hell buys 1 friggin shoe?

So as this was getting really expensive I contacted Maxim if my order has already shipped or not. As it was already shipped I asked, if I could pay the difference (40€ for each pair of footpockets) + shipping for 4 shoes. And he says they don't sell the footpockets separately.

The worst thing is, that if I knew that this was the price for 1 footpocket I would buy blades + footpockets from leaderfins directly, getting 2 bags for the fins gratis.

And now I'm gonna spend 60€ for 2 footpockets (found another suplier, but a bit of a drive, luckily on the road to the sea, so I'm gonna pick them up on the next hunting trip) + I don't get a bag for the fins.

That's what I call shitty communication and bad luck :\

unfortunately yes for some reason suppliers sell them in singles rather than pairs....You wont get a pair of foot pockets for anything less than £50....Sounds like it just bad luck all round

The same happened to my friend. From then on I´ve been clear on specifying that it is a Pair that I´m ordering.

Sad to hear it happens to other people as it should be pretty clear that almost noone needs only one shoe.

New info:

after more communication with Maxim he agreed to ship 2 pairs of footpockets and add the 2 bags that come with the action offer, ofcourse I will pay for the shipping so 100€ for 2 bags and 4 shoes (yes 4 shoes I'm talking to you, you OMER salesmen) with shipping.

That's ***** (five stars not some censored word :) ) for leaderfins.
