New Freediving Computer to be unveiled at DEMA 08

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I'll have a write up on this up on DB soon - been using it here in the blue hole for about a week and a half.

I just ordered this watch. I was not going to do it this soon, but I did. Deal to good to pass up. I just ordered it, have not dove it yet, but I'm confident this watch will be all it is cracked up to be after playing with the one the rep brought through last week.

It's going to suck when I break it on my way to 420ft, but you know, that's life :) rofl

I've got 298 dives logged on mine :)

My dive buddy - who was safetying me - Greg Borel took it of me with my camera on the day after Will T's Master class ended (I did two PBs that day :) )
The F10 rocks.

During Will Trubridge's master class at the Blue Hole - I forgot my Battery charger but my camera charged itself on the last day! The class is amazing, and truly one-of-a-kind. Simon Borg-Olivier gave us Yoga lessons which were unlike any I've ever experienced and perfectly germane to freediving. Absolutely excellent.

Bit late to this thread, looks like a nice freedive gauge. Does anyone know what the depth limit on this computer is ?
The D4 clocks out at 99.9m, there are a few floating around with modified firmware that are used for freediving comps that read to 200m.

Cheers,
Wal

@Walrus: It's rated to 100 m. It'll read deeper but you're risking breakage. Martin broke it at 120ish meters.

@All: I'm in a bit of a discussion with ptoot about maybe getting a bunch of people in the Benelux (Belgium-Luxenburg-Netherlands) area that are interested in buying the watch together. Perhaps if we get enough people willing to commit to buying one we can get a nice discount. If anyone's interested let me or ptoot know.

hey walt
i would guess that they did not de-engineer the f10 for the new lower depth limit. In other words it MAY work mechanically over 100m but SHOULD work electronically. am i making sense?

Sorry. Martin it is. I always tend to mix up names and people unless I know them well. I'll edit the post so it's proper.

All us freedivers kinda look alike anyway. We're basically the same person - just different depths.
